  1. I always feel better as well after you unload the intestines.
  2. Padres are the most overrated team. They suck.
  3. Alfonso Soriano: signed with Cubs 8 year/$136M contract - $17M AAV per season. 2007: 6.7 WAR 2008: 3.8 WAR 2009: -0.1 WAR 2010: 2.7 WAR 2011: 1.0 WAR 2012: 3.2 WAR 2013: 2.6 WAR 2014: -0.9 WAR Total: 16.3 WAR over 8 seasons, so averaged 2 WAR per season.
  4. Haha I'm just joking. I watch Moneyball every Friday night. It's a classic. Giambi's WAR with the Yankees: 2002: 6.6 2003: 5.0 2004: 0.0 (injured most of season) 2005: 4.2 2006: 3.0 2007: 0.7 2008: 2.4 Total: 21.1 WAR total over 7 years, so averaged 3 WAR per season. Signed a 7 year/$120M contract. I mean we've seen worse longer term deals. Giambi definitely was declining with the Yankees but he was still pretty solid when healthy. Take away his injury plagued 2004 and 2007 seasons, he averages 4 WAR per season, so it wasn't at all a bad signing.
  5. They should have never let Jason Giambi, Johnny Damon and Jason Isringhausen leave after the 2001 season. Fans didn't want to see Jason's younger brother Jeremy or an aging David Justice or a side arm freak in Chad Bradford.
  6. Don't get political here haha.
  7. Chris Bassitt beat ATL last Friday with Strider on the mound. Lets hope for the same tonight with Cole pitching!
  8. Yelich has 9 SB's thus far and Noot has 5. But yeah in standard 5x5 leagues and if Noot's BA regresses to .250-260ish, Yelich is better.
  9. I would go with Noot especially if its an OBP league. Younger and will put up far better ratios. Only drastic difference I see is Yelich probably will get more RBI opportunities.

Raptors are stuck in limbo if they bring back the same core. They're somewhat decent when healthy but not good enough to be an elite team in the East or to go on a deep Playoff run. Will be interesting to see what they do.

Would be so stupid. I don't think another team in the southern US would work. They're lucky Carolina and Florida have been successful on the ice or otherwise they wouldn't be getting anyone at the games. Arizona is already a failure. Salt Lake City, Milwaukee, maybe Baltimore.

Yeah that's true, both Halifax and Quebec would be way down on the list. Thought Quebec because they did bring the Jets back to Winnipeg and they've been a success. I think Quebec could work again since it does bring in a lot of tourism and has grown since the 1990s. I really think another team in the GTA would work. Heck even in Mississauga. MLSE and the NHL won't allow it though.
  13. Guess who has been shopping Abreu heavily in the LOD? Hahaha
  14. I hope I don't draft another Patrick Laine.

They should bring an NHL team back to Quebec City or maybe Halifax. The GTA could also support another hockey team as well like around Hamilton or Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area, though doubt MLSE would want that. Also, a lot of teams too close to each other - TOR, BUF, DET, OTT and MTL. In the US, maybe Salt Lake City or Milwaukee could be options.
  16. If the Phillies are out of it, trade for Aaron Nola.
  17. It's a shame Manoah and Kirk don't use it during the offseason or ST.
  18. Best to tank for the next 3-4 seasons so the Jays can get the top draft pick and build a real contender!
  19. Trade Matt Chapman at the trade deadline for a haul! The rebuild is back on!
  20. Bet $0.50 on Vlad for 2 or more HR's. If I win, it buys me one beer down at the Rogers Centre!
  21. Vladdy pays $34 to hit 2 HR's tonight haha.
  22. Yeah I did the same! Hope the Jays come out swinging tonight and Gausman pitches a gem!
