  1. Budweiser cares so much about their ESG score! As do most big companies these days! They're not pulling out lol. They would be crazy to do so!
  2. Julio Teheran had his magic working tonight!
  3. Nah, Shapiro did publicly criticize him for gutting the farm and wasn't going to give AA the full autonomy he wanted.
  4. Posey will be a first balloter IMO. It might take Martin a couple of years obviously, but he definitely is worthy of being in the Hall.

Boston Pizza doesn't even know what it is. Is it a pizza place? Sports bar? Family restaurant? Italian restaurant?
  6. I'm changing my HR pick now haha.
  7. I don't think Teheran has ever pitched well at the Rogers Centre anyway. Take the over on runs for today.
  8. Unbelievable the Rays are hitting on all these bats. I understand one or two breakouts, but it's almost their entire lineup this season.
  9. So should Manoah lol.
  10. May 31 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 2 Points - JaysAllMighty Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points - Jonn Kirk - 4 Points - Biggio - 5 Points - Spanky, JaysBlue Merrifield - 5 Points Kiermaier - 6 Points Off the bench: 10 Points - Switched my pick to Biggio
  11. Mauer also never spent his entire career as a catcher. He moved to 1B and DH after, so that could go against him. As well, he never won a World Series and had durability issues. Guys like McCann, Posey, and Martin played behind the plate until they retired. Same with Posada. There is case to be made that Mauer could be in the HOF. He put together some great seasons and was one of the best pure hitters in baseball when healthy. John Olerud I think deserves a place in the HOF if Mauer does but he only played 1B/DH. Though he did win two World Series and had two 8.1 WAR seasons.
  12. The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels were playing the Dunedin Jays last weekend haha. Yeah there are so many great minor league/Spring Training ballparks in Florida, all within a close distance. Great for family excursions and won't break the bank at all in comparison to seeing some MLB games.
  13. Yeah true but you risk the possibility of losing the current market share that business already has. Pretty much in the US based on the popular votes of Presidential Elections - you have around 55% who lean Democrat and 45% who lean Republican. Those numbers could vary every election but for the most part are around those figures. So pretty much almost split down the middle. Now of the 45% who vote or identify as Republicans, how many of them would take offense to some of these companies is the question? I'm sure majority of that 45% don't really care but lets say 10-15% do, well those companies lose a lot of market share regardless if that's the case.
  14. I didn't go on Thursday but yeah it's probably Bud Light or something haha. They did have a wide selection of other beers at the ballpark though. Beers were like $6-7 I recall. Dunedin and the whole Clearwater area have so many craft breweries all around. It's really cool.
  15. Yeah definitely want to go down one spring to see the Jays at Spring Training. Dunedin is a really great town. Can also see the Phillies Single A team in Clearwater which is like 15 mins from TD Ballpark. Definitely want to visit some more minor league ballparks this summer, like some Double A or Triple A parks in the northeast.
  16. From what I've read on why a lot more companies and corporations are going woke is that because it helps with their ESG score. According to Google an ESG score "is a measure of how well a company addresses risks with respect to environmental, social, and governance issues in its day-to-day work and operations." It pretty much is a social credit system for major companies and corporations. Here is a link that further explains what an ESG score is: https://www.sganalytics.com/blog/what-is-esg-score-and-how-is-it-calculated/ Other interesting read as well how ESG scores are tied with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and how over 250 of the worlds largest companies are on board: https://corpgov.law.harvard.edu/2018/10/04/un-sustainable-development-goals-the-leading-esg-framework-for-large-companies/
  17. Pretty much agree with the AL. All those players are deserving. J.D. Davis in the NL for 3B is shocking, though he's having a good season. Guys like Arenado and Machado haven't been themselves. Riley has cooled down. Shocked Muncy isn't at the top in votes considering he plays in LA. Still some time to change though.
  18. I was never a fan of Tim Anderson. High contact skills but awful OBP skills. Guy would hit over .300 and still only have an OBP in the .330s lol.

Will Boston Pizza now be providing pizza at the Scotia Arena?
  20. Went to see two Dunedin Blue Jays games over the weekend at TD Ballpark in Dunedin. Great place to chill, relax and watch baseball. Prices are only $8 and pretty much could sit anywhere in the ballpark. They have great promotions during the week. $2 tickets for Wednesday, $1 beer on Thursday, Two for One Margaritas on Friday, and on Sunday $2 Mimosas and Seltzers haha. Overall prices even for concessions and other drinks aren't that expensive. Saw Manuel Beltre hit a 2 run HR on Sunday haha.
  21. Will say the Trop isn't that bad of a ballpark as it's made out to be. Exceeded my expectations. Still nothing that great, but I was expecting way worse. But yeah fun place to watch a game. Felt like you were watching a game at a dome in Japan or Korea. Prices for food and beer are crazy expensive though, even more than the Rogers Centre I think.
  22. Kind of ironic haha. Zaun was more valuable than Bengie in 2006 even with less playing time. Zaun 1.5 WAR in 99 games, Bengie 0.9 WAR in 117 games.
  23. Yeah I agree keeping this board to just baseball and Blue Jays related discussion, though like you said politics are pouring into sports a lot more these days which will pour into some sports discussion on here. It's kind of inevitable.
  24. I'll go with Belt tonight
