  1. Yeah I would try Richards more in that role, as a guy to put out the fires in the 5th, 6th or 7th innings when need be. See how he does in that role.
  2. Richards looking good! He needs to be our Andrew Miller in the Postseason!
  3. I really don't have an answer. But yeah if you're going to play a BP game, go to your best guys if the situation calls for it, even if it's in the 5th or 6th or 7th inning. Ideally I wouldn't have pulled my starter given he was only at 81 pitches, has been dominant to this point and you were still winning 3-2. Kooch was working his way out of this and that BB wasn't a bad walk at all in that situation.
  4. Grayson will likely finish under 100 pitches and complete 6 innings. Now bullpen management for the Orioles will be easy. Asking your BP to start in the middle of the 5th inning is always asking for trouble. Kooch has been great this season, let him get out of that inning especially when he's only at 81 pitches.
  5. If this was a WC game, I would have went with one of the high leverage relievers. Need to give yourself the best chance to get out of that jam.
  6. Grayson likely going to complete 6 innings. Orioles will have their elite BP arms lined up for the rest of the game.
  7. Lucky the Jays left that inning tied 3-3! Now the bats need to score some runs! If the bats go silent and do nothing, we're screwed!
  8. Whether it's Schneider or the FO, they can't expect to do this in a Wildcard series every game. Especially when you have Gausman, Berrios or Bassitt on the mound. It's a tough task to ask a bullpen to close out a game from the 5th inning on especially against an elite team.
  9. This is going to be the issue with this club if they go to the bullpen early against good teams.
  10. This is going to be the real test, to see if this bullpen can close out a 3-2 game from the 5th inning on against good teams. This is where my concern is. Jays also need to add some insurance runs.
  11. Almost out of this boys! C'mon!
  12. I hope Metafour storms in and puts you in your place!
  13. Hope Kooch can get out of this. Real test will be to see how the bullpen performs starting next inning to close this 3-1 game out. Let's hope the Jays could score some more runs as well.
  14. When you question a move or decision by this front office, he does get pissed rather quickly as do some other posters. You see what I was dealing with this last month?
  15. Kikuchi is likely done after this inning or might even get pulled at some point this inning
  16. Trade him to the Marlins in the offseason. Kim Ng is looking for a slap hitting' first baseman.
  17. Haha yeah not worth the energy arguing with this dude.
  18. Hopefully the Jays could add some more runs and Kikuchi can go 6 innings. The bullpen has been really solid but tough closing out a 2-1 game starting from the 6th inning.
  19. I predicted a step back from him, like a high 3 or low 4 ERA. I think I even predicted Berrios was going to have a higher WAR than Manoah and some probably thought I was nuts. Didn't anticipate he would have been this bad though.
  20. Mountcastle at-bat ugh!
  21. I don't think anyone is as "mad" as you right now when it comes to talking about DeJong and Espinal haha. All Jay and BigC were saying is that Espy could have been optioned in order to keep some more depth, which isn't a bad thing. DeJong is better defensively, has hit LHP well throughout his career and does have some pop. Rosters expand in almost over a week anyways, so Espy could have been brought back up. It's not like sending Espy down for 7 to 10 days would have hurt the Jays offensively lol.
  22. I bet if the Jays actually kept DeJong and optioned Espy, Metafour would definitely be on board and support the decision 110%!
  23. He looked good in the 2nd inning. Imagine where this team would be without Kikuchi this season. He's really stepped up and has been a huge piece to the rotation. I know he sucked a lot last year but kudos to Atkins. Hope we get this Kikuchi again in 2024!
