  1. Even prayers from Joseph Gordon-Levitt can't save them.
  2. Mets suck haha. But yeah Morton is rock solid even at his age.
  3. I still think he'll become the highest paid player in baseball, even if he can't pitch for a year or two. But yeah definitely did cost himself possibly 200 million or so if he can never pitch again.
  4. FFS that's awful! As a baseball fan, this sucks big time!
  5. Metafour said Espinal is a better hitter, so we're all good!
  6. f*** Richards gave up 5ER? I have him in 3 leagues FFS!
  7. I went out to smoke a cigar, what did I miss?
  8. They really could. And a 2009 Aaron Hill.
  9. Worst team in baseball. I'm burning my Adam Lind jersey.
  10. I'm going to go outside and smoke a cigar.
  11. I did a player prop parlay on strikeouts with Gausman, Kershaw and Chris Sale. f*** Sale might screw me.
  12. 107 pitches for Gausman geez. I thought Schneider always took guys out early haha
  13. Spanky just doesn't study our Fantasy Baseball league rules, he also remembers dates of players birthdays!
  14. Also, loves to ground into double plays haha
  15. Also a great blocker!
  16. It's just his third season here lol.
  17. Yeah that lineup was brutal, especially in the early going. They needed another two big power bats for that lineup. Adam Dunn would have been a perfect fit. But he didn't like baseball lol. I remember even Mike Wilner went on the radio numerous times saying the Jays should sign Barry Bonds haha. That 2008 team with Halladay and Burnett along with that bullpen would have been scary in the Postseason. Rostering all those scrubs in the early going and not improving the lineup in-season really cost them.
  18. Yeah if you could sign Teo to a one-year deal, that would be perfect. He probably wants to build back his value and Toronto would be a perfect place for him.
  19. Yeah the Springer contract now isn't looking that good, especially if it will tie up the Jays FO from making other moves via free agency or trades in 2024 and 2025. Otherwise, gotta give Springer a mulligan on this season and hope he bounces back next season. Need him to be a 3-4 WAR outfielder moving forward and that contract won't be that bad.
  20. I was thinking the same thing the other night, drawing parallels from the 2008 Jays to the 2023 team, though still completely different rosters. The 2023 team is far superior on paper. Pitching wise, both teams had great rotations and BPs. 2008 team lost both McGowan and Marcum to injuries but Halladay and Burnett were one of the best 1-2 punches in baseball. In terms of the lineup, the 2008 Jays had scrubs playing whereas the 2023 lineup has more fire power and actual elite players. That 2008 team ran out players like Brad Wilkerson, Shannon Stewart, Kevin Bench, David Eckstein, and Rod Barajas. It was pretty bad haha.
  21. Nice catch by Springer but damn that throw sucked!
  22. Yeah gonna miss him next season, but Varsho needs to play CF next season and moving forward.
  23. Would love to sign Teo back to play LF or even LGJr as a DH. Though probably would want to also sign a lefty bat for one of those two positions, or else this lineup will be heavily right-handed again.
  24. Yeah it's unfortunate what happened to Diaz, but it still was a crazy contract. Not sure he would have lived up to it.
