  1. That's even with Ryu off the books. I thought the Jays were in a good financial position though? Jays will need a 2B, 3B, LF, and DH. As well, likely another starter in case Manoah doesn't figure things out. After 2023, you only have a two year window. Jays will have a lot of holes to fill this offseason. Can't be tight at all when it comes to spending or trades. Need to spend within reason to make upgrades.
  2. Gaus had a little help that AB, but we'll take it!
  3. Kerry Carpenter with a grand slam today. 9 HR's in August. Should have Player of the Month locked.
  4. Hopefully I don't regret it. I love Luzardo as well but I think he might be fading now given his innings, which was my thinking and why I wanted to move him for a more seasoned vet like Gausman. Hope I still get a couple of elite seasons out of Gausman. I think he should age well like Verlander and Scherzer.
  5. I just traded for Gausman in a 20-team dynasty league. Lets go!!!!
  6. Was one of the most satisfying wins this season IMO. I got up out of my seat after Bo made that throw! Huge play!
  7. Imagine if JaysAllMighty was making these selections on Bet365. He would be a rich man.
  8. I hope Schneider stops using Yimi Garcia to put out fires in the 5th or 6th innings. He should be at the bottom of the BP depth charts and used to start a clean inning. I would have rather seen Richards in that spot or maybe trying to get Kikuchi through that inning. Jays pulled it off which is the most important. But scary to start relying on the bullpen from the 5th inning on in a WC series especially when this lineup struggles to score. You can't do this every night in a WC series or else by Game 3, you've burned through your bullpen.
  9. He was definitely a fantastic pickup. Low risk/high reward signing. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. Glad Belt has been able to stay healthy and be a huge contributor. Those were real nice FA signings by Atkins last offseason - Belt and KK.
  10. Yeah agreed. I don't think people should assume facing the Yankees will be a walk in the park. They could turn things around by time the Jays roll into town like you said - calling up fresh blood, playing better baseball. Wouldn't want to face Cole and Rodon in a series. Jays should be able to win 2 of 3, but don't take those series for granted.
  11. If this was the League of Despair, I would be distraught. Since it's the DDL, I'm still moving on with my day.
  12. I was hoping it would be forgotten especially if it was the Hurl enforcing it. I would have liked my odds. Spanky is probably going to write it down on a piece of paper and keep it next to his bedside every night until the end of the season.
  13. Spanky during his spare time - studying the League rules:
  14. Definitely felt like one of the biggest wins of the season! Great way to start the series!
  15. Lets go Varsho!
  16. Mike Baumann sucks!!!!
  17. Brandon f***in belt!!!!
  18. Wow damn Bo!!!!
  19. Jorge Mateo sucks!
  20. Cavan Biggio will
  21. Did anyone see that Manoah/Springer Mary Brown chicken commercial? I laughed my ass off haha
  22. This late inning corps looking really good. Swanson looked extremely sharp! This offense better score some runs.
  23. Anyways, going to go outside on my patio, smoke a cigar and drink an Innis & Gunn. I have a TV outside as well, so will tune in haha. Great joining everyone during the GDT! This was a lot of fun! Now lets score runs and win this game!
