I played against the Blue Jays in MLB the Show tonight and won 4-1. Some things I noticed:
- A lot of ground balls from the Jays lineup when pitching to them. Not many line drives.
- Vladdy hit into a double play during a crucial moment with runners on base.
- Kirk is extremely slow. He hit a couple of balls deep in the hole at SS and 2B, and was easy to still throw him out at first.
- Gausman was solid against me for 6 innings, but came out of the game in the 7th after allowing a hit and Genesis Cabrera came on and gave up 3 runs.
- Defensively, Jays outfield can cover ground. Was tough getting a ball between or by KK and Varsho.
- Varsho is a fantastic base runner. Made a lot of infield grounders close at first base.
- Biggio was the starting 3B and hitting 5th lol. Offensively he was a disappointment in the game.
- Jays lineup seems heavily right-handed at the top. In the late innings, just brought on a tough RHP reliever who mowed down Springer, Bo, Vladdy and Turner.
