  1. I love how when the Blue Jays have a hot two or three games, guys like Max and Brownie come back on the board and go off like they do. When the Jays lose games and play awful, they disappear and you never even see them. But yeah World Series here we come after winning 2 of 3 against the White Sox and crushing the Tigers in Game 1!
  2. LOL. This is coming from the person who actually worships the ground Atkins walks on and more.
  3. He shouldn't be but he's already 34 and players sometimes do fall off a cliff at that age after years of injuries and being banged up.
  4. Jays should have signed a corner OF bat with some pop and move Varsho to CF instead of bringing KK back as the starting CF. I don't have any expectations of Kirk with the bat unfortunately given his conditioning. He'll get on-base and hit his singles, but at least defensively and game calling he provides great value. Looks like those two hot months of 2022 were just a hot two months. Sharing time with Jansen, Kirk should be a 2 WAR catcher even with a noodle bat. Springer is 34+ now, so what did you expect at the backend of his contract? Even when the Jays signed him, he had injury concerns. He was solid here for his first two years. Not sure we even see him post a 2 WAR season, but hope so. He looks toast now.
  5. Did anyone see the way the Orioles/White Sox game ended last night?
  6. Nobody wants to sign it, but you need to stop taking the blue pill when it comes to this organization. You're living in an illusion if you think this team is built for success to go on a deep Postseason run or that this is one of the best front offices in baseball, when there are obviously many red flags currently with this core as pointed out by many of the prominent posters on this board.
  7. Coming back healthy is the big question. Spending time on the IL for a good chunk in the early going of this season already, now you see where the risk was with him?
  8. I had no issue with the Green deal, though I wouldn't consider it a "bargain" like some others on here were raving about this past offseason. If Green stays healthy and returns to his prior form where he was a 1.5 - 2 WAR arm, fantastic. Obviously, there was a good amount of risk taken given that he's missed significant time and returning from TJS for a 30+ year old reliever. As well, teams take chances on high risk/reward type BP arms all the time, but they don't cost $10.5M. Look at the Red Sox signing Liam Hendriks this past offseason and when healthy he was a superior arm to Green.
  9. Well, it's quite easy when you guys are shills for Atkins and this front office.
  10. Great to see Manoah looking good on the mound. Hope he keeps it up and provides the Jays some valuable innings. Varsho is an easy guy to root for. If he makes some improvements offensively, he has the opportunity to be a stud. Would love to see him put together a .250/40 HR/25-30 SB type of season along with his defense.
  11. Yeah better than just reading "lol" posts for sure!
  12. Still defending the Green deal I see. You and some others will never let it go.
  13. I also owned a share in David Fry for maybe a week or so earlier in the season ugh.
  14. I think Bo will turn it around offensively. He'll hit .290-.300 with 20 HR's, 80 RBI and a low .800 POS when all is said and done. Maybe that's too optimistic, but that's where he has been around for his career. Never was a huge fan of his offensive skills, since he has low BB rates. Plus his defensive abilities are awful at shortstop and likely needs to be moved off from short in the near future. Wouldn't want the Jays to sign him to a long term extension anyways, though hopefully they could trade him this season or in the offseason for some assets.
  15. You're saying this to the biggest Ross Atkins homer on this board haha.
  16. Even after trading Burnes and losing Woodruff from their rotation, and being without Devin Williams for half the season, Brewers are still a force.
  17. You're definitely AA's toughest critic! Sucks they gave him up agreed. Not one of AA's best moves with the Braves.
  18. Chris Sale today with another brilliant outing! In 9 starts, he's 7-1 with a 2.22 ERA, 2.23 FIP and 0.86 WHIP over 56.2 innings with 70 K's and only 8 BB.
  19. Any criticism of the Blue Jays FO is unnecessary in your opinion. Welcome back by the way!

Yikes those last 10 mins. Made you sweat haha.
  21. Would definitely be nice to finish May at .500 or better. Gotta go on a winning streak of 6 or 7 games. Especially during this stretch of the schedule against the White Sox and Tigers.
  22. Jays lost first two games of this series, so they gotta win today and avoid the sweep at home. Tough for a team to get swept at home.
  23. White Sox will likely trade him at the deadline. Wonder what they could get for Erick Fedde who already as a 0.9 fWAR and a 2.60 ERA after 9 starts.
