I feel like $10 million is a lot of money for what will essentially be a utility/bench player.
His defense doesn't seem to be that good in the infield, and it's on the decline. The only position where his defense was OK was outfield, but I don't feel his batting line is good enough to be an outfielder.
I'd rather stick with Darwin Barney who we could probably get for 1.5 million, is younger, provided more war than Kendrick last year, and can play good defense at 2B, SS, 3B and outfield. That's 8.5 million saved for something better than a bench player.
