  1. Probably. I personally offered Castellanos but the supporting cast in my offer was poor (Crawford + 39th). I agree with your philosophy that a top 15 prospect should be included in any deal for an allstar major leaguer.
  2. Yeah I feel the same way. I prefer less prospects but higher quality. I would have demanded Aaron Sanchez/Mark Appel as a piece. Now I can package Trout + Kershaw together to finally covet a deal for Zach Lee.
  3. My off-season wish list is pretty much complete now that I've got my ace. Though I wouldn't be against adding one more starter since I did lose Teheran in the deal.
  4. 1. Archie Bradley 2. Nick Castellanos 3. Max Fried 4. Gary Sanchez 5. Brian Goodwin 6. Josh Bell 7. Reese McGuire Followed by what I figure will be a whole bunch of crap that never amounts to anything.
  5. I'm surprised you don't have Girardi as one of the options. I'm pretty sure Farrell is a lock to win though.
  6. Yep. The key is when the season starts. Right now people don't want to burn one of their 20 spots PLUS a pick for a reliever. When the season starts and they have 25 spots I expect a lot more action. You're right though, it is hard to sell in the reliever market.
  7. For me it's an easy decision to keep Strop over him because he seems to be locked in as the Cubs closer. Anytime you have a closer you can get some sort of value for him.
  8. C: 1B: Eric Hosmer 2B: Ian Kinsler SS: Alexei Ramirez 3B: Aramis Ramirez OF: Mike Trout OF: Hunter Pence OF: Curtis Granderson UTIL: Mike Napoli BN: Brandon Moss BN: Mark Reynolds BN: Dayan Viciedo SP: Matt Moore SP: Jordan Zimmermann SP: Jered Weaver SP: Julio Teheran SP: Justin Masterson SP: Jeremy Hellickson SP: Scott Feldman RP: Mark Melancon RP: Pedro Strop Might just let Viciedo go. He has pop but it seems like he's always going to be a black hole with OBP.
  9. Thanks everyone, all these tips are so helpful and sincere. I really have to get this cancerous fish off my roster. Where would I be without pals like you guys?
  10. All these trades being completed is going to force me into a panic move.
  11. To Oppo Taco: Byron Buxton Kyle Crick Mike Morse MiLB #59 Tanner Scheppers To A Wrench In The Plan: Chris Sale Freddie Freeman MiLB #69 MiLB #74 MiLB #114
  12. I feel the same way about North's offense. It already seemed loaded, and now its ridiculously stacked. However, his pitching is going to have a lot of questions going into next season. I like Bailey a lot, but would feel more comfortable with him as my #2. Parker and Cueto are quality arms but both have modest K rates and you're in a situation now where you need Parker to take a step forward next season. Then you have Porcello and Maholm who aren't too far off from what's in free agency. That being said, it's a long off season and you still have a lot of good pieces North. You have plenty of time to add some pitching help.
  13. Gryffindor and Taijuan On are pretty straight forward to me. I feel they each got equivalent value on their ends (Soler and Gray are pretty close, edge to Soler IMO) (Gray = 6th)
  14. Wow that's a blockbuster. I like what The War Puigs received out of this deal.
  15. I little piece of me died when I looked and saw I didn't receive one of them
  16. Also, it feels good to have popped my offseason cherry. This one was a pretty minor deal, but there will be more deals to come before Spring.
  17. Just out of curiosity, how come you're actively looking to add lower picks? I noticed you already own 8, but you recently posted you still want to add more.
  18. I wish I saw the proposal first hand. It would have been refreshing to see JPA down on one knee without a ball going by him.
  19. I also want to send out a thanks Dinger's way. Transferring all the rosters and sorting out the draft picks is tedious. All darrells are doing a great job keeping this league organized and running as smooth as possible!
  20. For me personally, it's not that I don't like him; it's that I already have a crowded OF as is.
  21. I was thinking the same thing. Especially on one of the deeper rosters in the league. Dinger might have to let a quality reliever go if he decides to keep him.
  22. It should be a good matchup. It will be interesting to see if resting starters becomes a story line at any point next week. My starters have been awful this last month though. If I'm going to win I feel like I'm going to have to win 4 or 5/7 on the offensive side; which seems unlikely given your offense.
  23. I just looked at your matchup and it's a tough call. I know what I would do but I could see an argument being made for either side.
  24. I really hope Koehler pitches tomorrow. I don't know what Miami's plan is, but I want those strikeouts.
