    I'm all for grabbing Castellanos but I definitely think we would have to add another asset with Janssen. After all, we're talking about a relief pitcher here.

    Trade him. There are always idiotic GMs that panic and overpay on these deadline deals. Remember when Carlos Santana (ranked 13th on Keith Laws top 100, 26th on Baseball America's) was moved for a few months of 36 year old Casey Blake (although he did sign an extension in the offseason)

    Aaron Hicks has a .261 wOBA.............. it's one thing for him to rob our batters time and time again as he is a great defender. But does he really have to hit f***ing home runs and heat up with the bat against us as well?

    Because the fact that they were able to dump the salary, but also bring back several assets, is quite impressive.

    Yep, it's just a 5/125 deal that kicked in starting with the 2012 season. There's also an option for a 6th year but even though Amaro is stupid; I don't think he's THAT stupid.

    True, although they pretty much got us that 11 game win streak in June. I think we've been equally mediocre on both sides. Were middle of the pack in both hitting and pitching. We are what we are right now; a mediocre team with a mediocre record.

    Well on the bright side, at least we aren't paying Ryan Howard $85 million over the next 3 years.

    Yes, but to be fair, Zobrist is super utility. He could be used at 3B, 2B, SS, OF etc. Not a bad player to round out the roster with.
