    I hear you, but he is on the 40 and has to be included on roster. His status is probably NOT YET REPORTED. You get a couple of days after being traded to report, and you shouldn't have to count against the 28 man roster until you report.

    Sort of does. He probably hasn't reported yet and not activated.

    I'd agree with that for the most part but amend to hope he loses a bunch of playoff games with Texas to the Toronto Blue Jays, WS Champs of 2022.

    Can't blame Semien. It's his last chance to make the big bucks, I would do the same. Tell me who wouldn't besides a certain Guardian.

    If Borucki goes on the DL he can be recalled.

    Maybe they're acquiring some assets that can be flipped at the deadline. It's a reasonable way to build.

    I think you might be right. So Tapia plays a little more, probably LF and CF.

    Except he can't play cf.

    I assume you have Kirk at DH?

    Then maybe Katoh as a PR/defensive replacement type would be enough for a start. As long as he gets no more than 35 at bats in a month, blow outs aside.

    I'm kind of concerned that Springer is on the decline and you can only expect 120 games a year at most in CF. And I hope Katoh gets dropped soon. I don't like watching him hitting.

    Do we really need to spend all of our prospect capital on Ramirez? Between Chapman, Groshans, Martinez and others I think we have the future covered in the infield. But our CF has no real future.

    That's what I've been calling for. Someone who plays from the 7th inning on (in the outfield) and covers 2b-3b as well. Espinal isn't enough as infield support.

    I gotta second that. He seemed like a cheap lefty dh, good for 250 at bats and balancing the lineup with one left handed power bat. With McGuire gone, and if Kirk is the #2 C, then we will have two lefty bats. Don't tell me that one of the outfielders will always be the dh?

    Good to see Tapia getting some reps in CF. Hopefully he looks okay

    From the Intercounty League to the majors? I liked Pompey but I think he's done.

    I'd rather see Tapia in CF. Not a big believer in defensive stats. And I'm a numbers guy. My only real concern is that Springer is only about 75% of a full timer in CF.

    There's a lot of concern that CF depth is hurt by this trade. Yeah the lottery ticket looks good. Yeah the lefty bat is fine, but CF depth is the cost. That being said, I think we can still come up with someone reasonable. Doesn't have to be a star.

    I think I saw somewhere that it was an NRI on a minor league contract. Obviously shows that we need something in centre field

    If it's just a shot to see if he's got anything left, I think it's a great idea.
