  1. As I said: Devo was worth the price of admission.
  2. I just remember seeing him on TV and thinking: "that's pretty good." And then seeing him live and thinking: "How is that even possible?"
  3. The worse sign is that his father didn't age that well and he was in better shape.
  4. Gotta agree with that: Devo was my all-time favourite in CF -- the TV didn't do him justice, watching him in person was so worth the price of admission.
  5. Wow, I don't want to trade Espinal but for a top starter: OH YES.
  6. He was part of the gas can bullpen. I was happy for the pic to be small.
  7. Man, some great 25's!! and remember Roy Lee Jackson as national anthem singer. And to comment on the 12's upcoming: don't forget Kenny Williams.
  8. Agreed, I think we may get somebody decent enough who is available at spring training.
  9. I think the extra outfielder would be a complement to Varsho and a late inning sub for Springer. KK and Springer will not be playing 162 games, 9 innings/game.
  10. keep in mind as well that Kirk won't be playing 150 games -- you have Janssen to think of.
  11. True, I could see Kirk and Belt getting pinch runners after the 7th inning and blow outs. That's why I figured a real speed demon with some defense would be ideal for the position. I still think somebody could shake loose after spring training.
  12. I thought Otto could be useful if an infielder goes down with an injury, but I see your point.
  13. I would think that Otto would just rot on the bench. I'd rather see him getting ABs in Buffalo.
  14. The new dimensions combined with the new rules could mean a lot of exciting plays in this outfield.
  15. every company uses the last night's leftover popcorn as a base for the new day's stuff. They don't pop a few days worth or anything like that.
  16. Every popcorn popper re-uses the last night's popcorn from bags. I worked Cineplex when I was young, part of the day's closing was scooping up all the night's leftovers.
  17. Totally agree. I'm a big numbers and history guy so I appreciate it. There is a history to how the numbers came about and were issued.
  18. You could include Al Leiter, the early years before he became a free agent and left. And Bill Caudill as our first stopper.
  19. That's about all he had. But way above average.
  20. Garth wore 29 for a bit. Probably no picture of it though.
  21. The best all-around outfielder we've ever had. And we've had some great outfielders.
  22. Duane Ward was one of the first 3 pitchers (along with Eichhorn and Henke) in a bullpen that was for real. Before them it was 7 innings of good starter and then pray for rain. So to me he's one of the more important #31's. Lilly was okay. Person was a mistake. And to Pendleton, love this thread.
  23. I'm pretty open: D or DD
  24. I totally get that. When I first started trying to be a GM (reading the minor league pages and suggesting trades and so on), not one current 40 man roster Blue Jay was even born.
