    https://twitter.com/lesley_mak/status/842381749954961408 Two tweets there saying that last year they did not and this year Rogers is enforcing the blackout, which is not at all a surprise with the NEXT/NEST/NOW or whatever Rogers put out last year. If you have MLB.TV specifically for the Jays it might be worth contacting MLB.TV in regards to that.

    He's one of those toolsy players who if they ever did put it together is probably a really good player, but like a vast majority of toolsy players he didn't. Can't fault the pick in hindsight though I think the consensus was like the Romero pick there were better players on the board at the time.

    Throw Biagini into AAA and run Bolsinger and someone else on the ML roster is my hope.

    Just had a chance to look through the AMA. My biggest take aways are that Shapiro sees the team in the Roger's Center for another 25-30 years. They're doing construction on it now and have a design firm looking at what upgrades can be done to increase fan experience, they're looking to move away from bowl seating towards more seats facing home plate.

    I honestly don't think he'll be able to give very much detail as to goings on with the front office or players or anything. But you could probably safely ask him what's the strangest thing a player has ever done to him. Might be interesting to see some questions on what it's like being a beat reporter in the MLB world.

    It's always sad to see young people with 40+ years of expected life in front of them die, regardless of what we think of them as a personality inside baseball. With that being said if someone's stupid enough to drive under the influence or texting or whatever and they die because of it a lot of my sympathy tends to just disappear.

    Might not be a popular opinion but I would take a flyer on Gose to platoon with Upton. Probably ends up being a strong defensive corner OF and he's an improvement on Zeke. Doesn't hurt to at least look on an MiLB deal.

    Not surprised to see him go. I never had anything against JPA personally, he was just a s***** catcher and a poor hitter.

    Morales bat with average base running and pretty solid 1B D. I like Myers. Not at that price necessarily but I don't think he's a poor player.

    I know that I use it purely as a news source because I'm too old to learn to twitter or anything like that. It's a lot faster than going into the threads here and digging through it. I prefer to do that when I can sit down and spend a bit of time doing something instead of just wanting to see if something has happened while I'm seeing what people in Ottawa are complaining about now.

    There are a few good posters, and the private community is quite good. I imagine a lot of the good posters are also posters here.

    I don't think they would either. I mean worst comes to worst for Pitts is he plays for 2 more years as a 4-5 win player potentially and the get a draft pick.

    Hit well in the second half and finish the season hitting like he generally does. A lot of his defensive woes were apparently from positioning though a nagging injury could also have contributed. I'm not sure if I'd move Vlad Jr for McCutchen if it's like Vlad Jr. ++ but as a straight up trade it couldn't really hurt.

    Looking at his non-.400 BABIP season in AAA he was a 115wRC+ bat. I don't know a thing about his D or base running. If he's related to Blue Jays legend Buck Coats he's an obvious sign.

    Gurriel (Gourriel sp?) is likely not MLB ready, he's got some major question marks in regards to the bat. Do you see Pearce able to man lets say 2B if Travis does down for two months, as a regular for that period or are we back to using Barney and Goins in that capacity? We have some options but nothing that you'd want on the field for an extended period of time.

    Atkins never was but Shapiro built some good teams and made some really good trades for a team with the payroll restrictions they have. This is far too short into their tenure to even get an idea of how this organization will shape up.

    We don't even have the depth to replace any of them for an extended period of time, which was how I broke the statement down. Outside of Barney and potentially Burns I don't know if we have an actual replacement level piece to play between SS, 2B, 3B, C.
