  1. Shatkins could quite literally tell Bautista they're qualify him, will not be making an offer and it will hamper his earning potential. Or he can accept a trade to Houston and not get the Q/O attached to his name.
  2. Ever since Tulo came back from the DL his triple slash, K/BB, BB%, K%, and wRC+ have all been in line with career norms.
  3. Might move him up to experience the playoff run if Buffalo stays in it.
  4. I think Valbuena will end up moving to 1st and Bregman at 3rd, he's already been playing there in the minors. Guy had a 179 wRC+ in AA this year, 14.7 BB% with a 9.1 K%.
  5. He's horrendous offensively and a below average runner with above average D. He's a bench piece but is ideal AAA depth.
  6. Improvement by subtraction in regards to Goins on the DL. Run with the extra relievers until the ASB and re-evaluate at that point I imagine.
  7. Likely at the level he should be at to learn the next step of striking people out again.
  8. He got picked up to play cricket with a few other busts.
  9. I'm not as concerned with the errors yet. He's just learning the position realistically and if the bat performs while he's 17 and in the league he's in then he can keep working on the D in the off season.
  10. That should surprise no one Terminator, Blair's basically a hack at this point in time. Like most of the older Jays reporters he's useless.
  11. Is Tellez hurt?
  12. I read an interview with Fasano that said they wanted him in Lansing to learn to deal with disappointment, taking on a leadership role and to see a series of starts in a row where he wasn't walking 5+ guys a game.
  13. After watching the Texas game today I'm surprised with the similarities between Odubel Herrera and Nomar Mazara in their setup at the plate.
  14. Smoak and Saunders out of tonight's line up, Bautista returns to RF. I'm actually a bit surprised we didn't bring up another OF, even if it's someone like Lake.
  15. Jeremy Accardo I believe. It happens, but it's not super common.
  16. Chris Cotillo reporting Bichette signing for 1.1M, 200k-300k over slot I think.
  17. I'm actually pretty pleased with the draft for what was supposed to be a fairly weak draft year. Lots of projectable pieces in the OF and up the middle as well as pitching. Some guys that might be solid relief arms taken in the middle rounds.
  18. Also has a BABIP around .260 if I remember right.
  19. It's in another thread but a local news paper did an interview with Bichette who openly said he has a deal, will be under slot and is forgoing college.
  20. On a whole his number don't look too bad this year. His last six starts are horrendous. 21-13 K-BB, 4.13 xFIP, 52 hits in 35.2 innings. I'm all for giving him a shot to keep going, but at some point, regardless of what FIP and xFIP say you need to bring in someone who isn't five base runners away from a WHIP of 2.
  21. I'm wondering if it might be some of the new stuff Gil Kim brought over from Texas with some of the performance stuff Shapiro and Atkins brought over from Cleveland.
  22. Dodgers and Cardinals both really solid drafts so far.
  23. This is my favourite part of the day one draft, seeing the "celebs" from each team.
  24. f***ing Pillar, called strike which is fine, ball 2 is a ball, BETTER SWING AT THE THIRD PITCH WHICH IS EVEN HIGHER!
  25. There's nothing wrong with that when you're tall. Wainwright, Halladay, McCarthy are all in that mold and all are good, or were good pitchers. For Zeuch it'll be his breaking pitches.
