  1. Seeing a scrub like Andrew Cashner (who is as bad or worse pre-trade Liriano) get six figures makes me even happier about the heist we pulled off.
  2. It's like people don't realize that Liriano pitched like an ace with us. He was as good or better than each of the seasons where he finished top 12 in Cy voting.
  3. I'm not buying it BBBB, sorry.
  4. I like Greene as much as anyone, but his best case scenario is having a good year and coming up in July.
  5. I'm intrigued by Feliz' potential and relative youth. I'd go 2/10, maybe 2/12.
  6. Would you pony up a multi-year deal for a mid-tier reliever like Feliz, Tazawa, or Ziegler or stick to 1 year options like Uehara, Hernandez, or Benoit. I'd love to get Uehara.
  7. I doubt that Barnes is any sort of lock.
  8. I think he would be better as well. The point I was trying to make was that Pillar+Bautista would be comparable in value to McCutchen+Upton/Carrera, not to mention the lost prospects
  9. Well if we want offense we could just keep Pillar and bring back Saunders or Bautista for something similar to what Cutch has left. I just don't buy that he's still a 6+ WAR player, which is what you would need to believe to make a trade.
  10. Serious question. How much would we really be upgrading in replacing Pillar with McCutchen? He projects for 3.6 WAR, which is pretty much what Pillar has averaged in his first 2 season. We know what to expect from Pillar. I guess the question is what you all expect from McCutchen. I don't think Steamer is too far out of line.
  11. Speak for yourself. I'll take that bat back in a second on a reasonable deal.
  12. Biagini is just the best.
  13. Combine that with him leading the league in slugging percentage as a rookie and it was awfully entertaining.
  14. Too much for a decent DH-.
  15. I'll bet you $100 that we don't sign Jay Bruce before opening day.
  16. I'm open to that.
  17. It's unfortunate that we jumped in early and overpaid for a guy in the only position with a ton of depth. I don't mind Morales, but there are too many big bats and not enough openings. There will be great bargains later in the offseason.
  18. The Tigers recently won 4 consecutive division titles, so spending can certainly work if done wisely.
  19. Are we talking about the Angel Pagan that is arguably better than Josh Reddick and will cost less than half as much?
  20. Probably Sanchez for that 4th year. Very close.
  21. The Tomo Ohka post reminded me of that lol.
