  1. Only you are allowed to define what is lucky or not. Go to a casino, friend.
  2. Every single f***ing hit is directly at a Cubs fielder. Nice catch Tucker.
  3. I'm glad someone got that! Too many wankers around here.
  4. I'm not going to get into a pissing match over whether you classify a hit as lucky or not. The fact that you think someone can be right or wrong about such a thing is idiotic. You are welcome to your own opinion.
  5. A weak grounder squeaks through the infield for an RBI after a missed call. I just perceive that as lucky, no big deal.
  6. Reese McGuire should be able to pound out some more playing time due to that injury.
  7. Things like a HR just squeaking by the foul pole aren't really accounted for. I was just making an observation, not a statistical analysis.
  8. We've had so much loud contact tonight. This would be such a frustrating game to lose, given that the Cubs have been incredibly lucky.
  9. As John Havok pointed out yesterday, I believe that he returned to Toronto to resolve a dispute between the Blue Jay's doctors and MLB's doctors as to whether or not he was ready to return. The third party obviously agreed with the Blue Jays.
  10. I definitely agree with you on his potential to garner more strikeouts in the future. I think the major league stats paint a better picture of what he is at this very moment than the minor league stats do. We can agree to disagree on that, Watching him tonight will give me a better read on what kind of potential he has. I have honestly only seen him pitch once against Boston a couple of weeks ago and he was awfully lucky to not get roughed up,
  11. Underperforming perhaps, but still in the bottom quarter for strikeouts. I don't think there's a big time strikeout artist hidden by some bad luck. We should be able to get to him, since he has some trouble putting hitters away.
  12. Lauer isn't a free agent, he's arbitration eligible. I'd like to bring Bieber back and leave that 5 spot open for our internal options. If we're going to add a second pitcher, it should be a 1 year guy like Scherzer. I love Chris Bassitt, but I don't think he returns.
  13. On the surface, we should be able to get to a pitcher who doesn't generate very many swings and misses or strikeouts. I think we have to be patient and wait for a mistake, even if it gets to two strikes. There's no point in attacking the guy early if he doesn't have an out pitch.
  14. This is playoff run. I think a guy like Bruihl can be useful next year, but we shouldn't really consider any of that when it comes to getting the best arms on the roster right now.
  15. It has a lot to do with one player being in Cleveland and the other being in LA, I'm sure.
  16. I'm all for it and it seems like the team is preparing for it, given that he hasn't yet exceeded his career high this late in the season. We've seen guys like this make a real difference on postseason rosters, so there's no harm in giving him a couple of outings and seeing how he does.
  17. Hopefully before they play us
  18. The Brewers lit up Skenes and Aceucki in the same game. If anyone needs convincing that they are the league's best team, that is it.
  19. This was such a Berrios start. His stuff looked kind of blah, his K/BB numbers were bad, and he just guts his way through 5 innings and gets the win.
  20. Where was this Jeff Hoffman the other day? Lots of strikes. Jays win!!!
  21. That's one of those ones where I have no f***ing idea and it's ok that they stick with the original call either way.
  22. I fully expected Varsho to hit at over a 60 HR pace. If anyone tells you different, they're lying.
  23. I don't like Gimenez hitting 3-0. You're not a star, just take the walk.
  24. Our rotation next year Cy Varland Cy Bieber ROY Yesavage Gausman Berrios
  25. I've got no problems getting a couple more runs with the way Yariel has been struggling.
