  1. By not adding him to the 40, we will have more roster flexibility throughout the offseason. That shouldn't really be a concern in my opinion, but maybe it matters to them.
  2. I think we're reading a little too much into this. IKF is a pinch runner and defensive replacement who most of the guys already know. If there's an injury or something, we'll be happy to have him. If not, it just cost some cash
  3. Milwaukee is only a 4.5 hour drive for me with no traffic and a cheap hotel, as opposed to 7 hours and the nightmare that is Toronto traffic. I love going there and I haven't missed a Jays game in Milwaukee for the last 30 years (although I may next year if tariffs aren't lifted). I've also seen some other games there when I go down to nearby Green Bay for a Packers game. It's a beautiful city and a great place to watch a game. I love the Blue Jays, but it really puts Toronto to shame as a place to watch baseball and hang out around the stadium. I don't get why anyone would trash it.
  4. I'm just going to turn off the game and check in a couple hours. I just can't take another inning of Hoffman. Enjoy the rest of the game, everyone.
  5. You live up to your name, as you've clearly never been there.
  6. Rob Zastryzny is Canadian. Good to see him back in the majors.
  7. We get an extra roster spot tomorrow
  8. Who is this guy and what has he done with Louis Varland?
  9. I'm not opposed to seeing what Easton Lucas can offer. It's not possible for him to be worse than Varland.
  10. Bringing in the infield is an incredibly boneheaded move from Pat Murphy at this juncture of the game, given how likely it is that the Brewers will score a lot more. ...and Straw punches one through before I can finish typing. Schneider would be getting absolutely roasted if he did something this incredibly stupid.
  11. The next save opportunity that this team sees should go to Tommy Nance. I don't care about the sample size, the lack of experience, or the underlying statistics (which are actually good). This isn't a time to f*** around, the pitchers who get it done need to get the leverage innings.
  12. Nance has been our one and only effective reliever for more than a month. Let's hope he gets it done.
  13. Little isn't a major league calibre pitcher right now and he hasn't been for a while. We need to stop playing matchups with him and either put him in a mopup role or send him to the minors if he has options. It's hard to recall a reliever being this bad in recent memory.
  14. Hopefully we can keep scoring. It would be shocking if the Brewers score anything less than 8-9 runs, with our bullpen coming in.
  15. That's the type of outrageously bad defensive blunder that we haven't seen for most of the season.
  16. I don't entirely understand the logic behind having a struggling Barger in the 2 hole.
  17. Chourio was out when I paused it, but I get why you don't challenge that in the first inning. It was close.
  18. Depth in case of injury, free acquisition cost, and veteran presence would probably be the main reasons.
  19. This is fine, but I'm not sure that I really see the need. Hopefully he can be added to the roster tomorrow so that we don't have to make a move. Loperfido was making real positive contributions to the team so it kind of sucks that he probably won't be back up right away.
