  1. A pretty crazy fall, considering the Mariners have been total dogshit for a while now.
  2. At the end of the night, we'll either have a 4 game lead on the Yankees or be the best team in the AL. Life is good.
  3. Kevin Gausman just missed a Maddux (complete game shutout with less than 100 pitches), but I found some interesting trivia regarding that feat. Who has the only extra inning Maddux? Who has the most Maddux's since the term was coined in 2012 (with 4)? Both are Blue Jays.
  4. That would be Rance Mulliniks I'm sure. I cheated by looking at my 1993 coffee mug with the roster on it and will say Darnell Coles.
  5. Gausman has a chance at a Maddux. Have we seen one in the majors this year?
  6. Pat Hoberg just got fired for having a sports betting account, so we may be seeing more of Pawol.
  7. I have a thought that one may be a long time Blue Jay at the end of his career, but I'm not sure on the other guy in 93. This is a fun question, so I'll let others take some guesses.
  8. More like 35 over 600 PA's, but your point is well taken.
  9. Hopefully Kirk can shoot one over the left field wall.
  10. Everyone in the world knew that Hoffman would give up anyone run there. I even said it to my girlfriend.
  11. The summer of George is over for the Astros. Now it's time for the summer of George Springer.
  12. Someone always cheats and ruins these in the first post, but I'll give you a real guess. Backup catchers and shortstops immediately come to mind. I'm going to say Alfredo Griffin, who would have played, had Joe Carter not hit his iconic home run. Then I'll say Dick Schofield for the 93 team. For catchers, I'll say Randy Knorr for one of those years and go with a reliever in Danny Cox as my final guess.
  13. Steroids will do that for you
  14. Lucas hasn't been optioned in the past 10 days and was eligible to be recalled. Fischer and Fluharty have and are not eligible.
  15. We can't bring them up right now because of roster rules, but I would expect both to be back soon.
  16. I don't understand how you could possibly disagree with that. It was an obviously stupid move at the time and it cost us a win in hindsight. There's really no defense.
  17. Does Brendon Little have options? He's been one of, if not the worst reliever in baseball for quite some time now. He's got good stuff, but desperately needs a stint in the minors to work things out instead of costing us games. He's single handedly lost us a minimum of 3 games in just one month.
  18. Putting in a struggling Little in the 9th is up there with the worst decisions we've seen from Schneider all season. This loss falls squarely on his shoulders. There's no question about that.
  19. I agree, especially with only 1 lefty in the first 4 batters for Little.
  20. This is a textbook ground rule double
  21. We don't actually know, as he wasn't given a chance.
  22. Regardless of whether or not this works out, I applaud Schneider for giving our only effective reliever in Tommy Nance a chance to get some saves, even if his experience doesn't warrant it.
  23. God damn I thought he had all of that. Very lucky for Barlow and the Reds.
