  1. The Rays have started Griffin Jax in their most recent bullpen games. It doesn't mean that they'll do it again, but it's worth noting.
  2. That's a 4 game lead for the Blue Jays. Chisholm giving up on a foul pop up that he should have caught was the difference in this game. The Blue Jays catch that ball 100% of the time. The Blue Jays win games where they hit 3 Home Runs.
  3. He's already been announced as the starter in game 4, so I wouldn't think so. This is just an extra day of rest for each starter.
  4. I never would have expected Caballero to have enough power to hit one out of the stadium.
  5. This game is really the Yankees in a nutshell. Bad pitching, bad defense, and home runs. We just need a baserunning gaffe.
  6. Crochet blowing it
  7. Lowe bitching about balls being called balls is pretty annoying.
  8. An analyst on Sportsnet 590 said that this isn't the case and explained the process that needs to take place to make Yesavage eligible. This includes a petition to the Commissioner's office to use him as an injury replacement, which he explained is a formality.
  9. HR from Narvaez to make it 6-0. Inning would be over had Chisholm caught an easy foul pop up.
  10. A fourth run on a Yankees defensive miscue. This really is a huge game. A Boston win gives us what essentially would be a 5 game cushion with 14 games left
  11. If we win every single game, we could beat the single season franchise record of 99. Perhaps more attainable is going 8-5 to bring our franchise all-time record over .500 once again. We'd join the Astros as the only expansion franchises in that group.
  12. Tampa Bay has juggled their rotation a little bit, inserting Ryan Pepiot in to start game 2. That means that somehow we don't face Drew Rasmussen or Adrian Houser (their 2 best starters) in a 4 game series. Matchups are as follows: G1: Yesavage vs Bullpen Day G2: Berrios vs Pepiot G3: Gausman vs Seymour G4: Bassitt vs Baz
  13. I'm going to watch him at work 😂
  14. Absolutely, yes. They just need to have him as a replacement for an injured player, like Yimi Garcia, for example.
  15. Half of the league's 6 .300 hitters are Blue Jays. Pretty cool.
  16. Projecting pitching matchups for the next series; Berrios vs. Bullpen day Gausman vs. Seymour Bassitt vs. Baz Scherzer vs. Rasmussen Then projecting out way too far: Bieber vs. Bergert Berrios vs. Cameron Gausman vs. Bowlan (Seth Lugo threw a bullpen session yesterday and is expected back at some point) Bassitt vs. Tolle Scherzer vs. Giolito Bieber vs. Bello (Looks likely that we miss Crochet unless they make a major change to his schedule) If the season still matters at this point, we could miss both Rasmussen and Houser in the final series, should they stay on turn.
  17. JS says there's nothing wrong with Bassitt.
  18. That would be correct. The guy with 4 Maddux's is Henderson Alvarez, believe it or not.
  19. My buddy at the game says that the O's dugout was heckling Springer after the pitch near his head. What is their deal with him? George is one of the most likable players in the game.
  20. I wish Vladdy could come up with a big hit one of these days. He's never clutch! 🤪
  21. Another great guess, but not Dickey either. The extra inning guy is the first player that would come to mind for me. The guy with 4 such games is a guy who was notorious for pitching to contact, but still a shocking answer.
  22. Great guess, but not Buehrle for either.
  23. He's as good as anyone in the league when he's not tipping pitches. You can usually tell by the end of the first inning whether he's going to have a good day or not.
  24. He just said he would have pulled him had Correa got on.
