    Perhaps, they are pretty vague with that info. Either way, it likely pushes Gilbert to a single start in game 4 if he goes a couple innings here.

    Logan Gilbert pitching in this game would be amazing. The Mariners don't have an effective reliever after Brash and Munoz. That probably means you get Bryce Miller in game 2 if they win.

    You have to sit slider if you're a Tigers hitter. He's not going to throw a fastball at this point.

    5+ innings in a 5 game series and essentially only sliders. That's going to be rough on anyone's arm, even with a moderate regular season workload.

    Munoz has now thrown 50 pitches in this series and 42 of them have been sliders.

    Pulling Skubal with less 100 pitches could go down in Tigers lore as a pretty bad decision. Finnegan looks shaky.

    Hinch should let Skubal pitch the 7th and roll with a well rested Will Vest for 2 innings. Nobody but your very best should pitch in a game like this.

    The guy is still pumping triple digits and completely overwhelmed Raleigh. I just let him go at least until someone makes it to second base.

    I'm not just saying this because I want him tired, but you ride or die with Skubal here. Let your horse go 120+ pitches if he keeps dealing.

    Should Seattle advance, it will be important for us to knock out starters early and feast on their lack of quality bullpen depth. Anyone not named Munoz or Brash has been absolutely lit up and Munoz has been heavily overused.

    Watching a real extra innings game without the Manfred Man is one of the most enjoyable experiences of the season for me. There's nothing quite like it in any sport. Baseball just doesn't get any better.

    This team has the talent to get out to big leads and play with confidence at times, but they don't have what it takes to perform in key situations. It's just not in their DNA. I thought it was obvious when they couldn't perform against awful, awful teams to close out the season. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong, but I have zero confidence.

    If you can't perform against a low quality opponent like Boston at the most important time of the year then you aren't a playoff calibre team, period. This team is going to f***ing blow it in one of the worst collapses in MLB history and then they are going to f***ing blow it against Houston or something in the playoffs. It's one of the most disgraceful performances I have ever seen from this team. f*** you Scherzer, get off this f***ing team and go retire. You're a disgrace to the Blue Jays uniform. I'm just done with this team, I'm not watching another game this year.

    I can handle a loss, but my heart can't take another game stolen from us by biased umpiring. With the long history of bias towards the Red Sox and Yankees and the prevalence of sports betting, my mind can't shut off when I go to sleep, even if there is no proof.

    Frank Catalanotto was always one of my favourite Blue Jays. Always a joy to watch.
