  1. Why don't you try taking a look at your own avatar before accusing anyone else of being an attention seeker. I thought this was a baseball forum, not e-harmony.
  2. Look at you bleeding all over the place again like a bitch on her rag... Smh
  3. So are the playoffs not suppose to matter? I know at this point, after years of failure, most fans would probably be content with simply making the playoffs. But having a rotation that puts us at a matchup disadvantage against most teams makes us more of a pretender than anything else. There's obviously plenty of time for improvements but let's not get ridiculous and discount the value of proven front-line starters.

  5. What a f***ing goof.
  6. There you go again with your emotionally fueled tirades painting the FO as the victims of an "atrocious media". If it wasn't bad enough to come across as a leaking vagina every time you get mad, you also happen to continually contradict yourself. You originally emphasize the importance of keeping your "wild card" happy since he cost you d'Arnaud and Syndergaard but in your next post you preach about making compromises for players who cost you "nothing in return". Basically pulling anything you can from your ass to rationalize your bias outlook towards the organization. Then, you actually give yourself the nerve to bring up the "bigger picture" (which you describe as "maintaining a good image" and "maintaining a better clubhouse atmosphere") which is quite frankly laughable. I thought the bigger picture or the main objective was to win games, make the playoffs and win a championship???? But no, apparently "image" is what it's all about... Although unfortunately, we can't even achieve that since according to you "many ball players are just generally really dumb people" and just don't want come here since the media "warps" their perceptions". Oh did I also forget to mention that despite all these efforts, the manager doesn't even think that this is a tightly-knitted group and expects some changes?? So much for the bigger picture. As mentioned before, your argument doesn't have a leg to stand on, but please don't let that get in the way of a good estrogen induced rage... This place wouldn't be the same without them.
  7. So in other words: "Since we originally got bent over on the Dickey deal, it only makes sense to maintain the position and satisfy our mediocre pitcher's demands."
  8. Masterson isn't attacked to a pick as far as I know and the first round pick is already gone.
  9. The attached pick should actually be a benefit to the Jays since they've already lost their top pick and would be competing with fewer teams. Having said that, I don't trust Liriano much and personally prefer a groundball pitcher like Masterson.
  10. An out of shape 40 year old replacement level catcher with a .400'ish OPS??? Where do I sign??
  11. The ownership's main responsibility is to make a profit and satisfy its shareholders. I might not like it as a fan, but I can understand that it's part of the business. The GM'S job on the other hand is to produce the best team he can with what he has at his disposal and considering what Alex has been given, I think it's safe to say that he has failed so far. The fact that the ownership hasn't canned his wobbly ass yet is more reflective of the terrible sports culture that exists within the media and the fans in this city. There's basically very little pressure on the owners to take a drastic measure and as you can even see in this thread, some people are actually dumb enough to portray him as a victim.
  12. Yup, it's definitely the water and it has absolutely nothing to do with you sounding like a hormonal teenage girl in every other post.
  13. The media is in large part owned by Rogers and they have no incentive to make him look any worse. He's entering his sixth season as the GM and third since he's declared the team is going "all-in" and so far hasn't accomplished anything as far as winning is concerned. Considering that, I'd say the fans have been too easy on him and he's far from the victim that some apologists paint him out to be.
  14. There's a lot of nonsense being spewed by you recently and it's becoming nauseating. To claim that Alex has taken unnecessary heat for sitting on his hands during the 2012 offseason or for his terrible mismanagement of the budget over the last couple of seasons is being completely deceitful. In fact, he has it pretty easy compared to what he'd have face in places like NY and Boston where mediocrity isn't applauded by clowns like yourself.
  15. This wasn't what you were originally responding to though... The question was if he'd WANT to sign here, to which your response was that the risks of injury for him was low since all he had was "a slipped disk" and that the turf issue is overblown... Now you're following that nonsense up with "I don't see any reason why they shouldn't pursue Headley". SMH
  16. I might have to start referring to you as 'fluffy' if you keep posting useless fluff like this.
  17. So basically, most players are really dumb because their perceptions are shaped by the media (as if they've never been here before), but you on the other hand are so clever that you simply won't let those deceptions cloud your judgment, so instead you choose to believe what the players (who are still under contract with the club) say about the city to the media. Interesting!
  18. AA is expecting Travis to be ready soon and if that's the case, I don't have a huge problem with starting Izturis or even Goins for a month or two.
  19. I wouldn't mind either option but I'm not sure if it's a must considering that as it stands the infield depth is actually much better than it was at the start of last season with the addition of guys like Valencia and Travis.
  20. I agree that Pompey and Travis shouldn't be relied on to start the season but Izturis is coming back and should be able to fill in at 2B for now and acquiring a speedy light hitting CFer (who would get pushed to the bench when Pompey proves to be ready) shouldn't be too difficult. Basically, the only full time position of need is LF which also is also relatively easy to fill.
  21. The fact that it doesn't guarantee anything is irrelevant... Bottom-line is that having a shut down guy taking the ball in those key games significantly increases your chances of going far. Besides, a shut down starter doesn't necessarily have to be an "ace" signed as a FA for hundreds of millions, it could just be a front-line starter with high upside who could even be acquired mid-season. Anything is better than relying on Dickey especially in October weather.
  22. Not really. If anything, seeing Bumgarner carry the Giants to the championship showed just how important of an impact a front-line starter can have. Right now this team does not have one starter that I'd feel comfortable with in a one game do or die scenario. Not one. I don't understand the rational that you'd feel satisfied with just getting into the playoffs "because this franchise hasn't done it in 20 years"? The reality is that AA has been given every opportunity to succeed and build a championship caliber team and simply sneaking into the playoffs and going out after one game is not my definition of success.
  23. That really depends on what you're trying to achieve. If the goal is to simply get to the playoffs, then yes, the rotation is probably good enough to sneak you in (as long as the offense preforms). But without a legit front line starter that can be counted on in a one game scenario, this rotation is clearly not good enough for a team aspiring to win a championship.
  24. Don't get me wrong, I love it when women get aggressive, but didn't you have a panic attack the last time I called you a bitch and now you're making fun of people's dicks and calling them a "beta"? Time to take a look in the mirror!
  25. Do I reply in disgust when old ladies ask me for help?? Are you kidding me?? And I'm the drama queen?? LMFAO
