  1. Wait a sec, so the guy who was screaming out absurdities like "AA has been vindicated" just a few months ago is now questioning the judgment of others?? How ironic.
  2. I'm sure he'd turn things around at the speed of light if only the ownership would allow him...
  3. No, you're clearly overestimating what an incompetent GM will do when desperate to hold on to his job.
  4. Two years ago when AA was s***ing the bed, you were applauding the moves and calling them a "perfect storm". Now somehow the same buffoon who got the team into this mess in the first place could magically turn things around QUICKLY only if rogers would let him hahaha.
  5. Try ch 415 if you're with Rogers...
  6. Completely agree again. Being a huge Alpha is totally un-Canadian like. Why can't he just be like the rest of us.
  7. Using projections two years after the fact is a great way to give credibility to your argument. Next time an underrated team outperforms their projections and goes on to win the WS, we should all sit here and criticize their GM because he put a team together that wasn't expected to win much. Who cares about the benefit of hindsight, performance needs to be measured through PROJECTIONS!!! And the impact of those trades obviously had no barring what-so-ever on The Fat Greek sitting on his hands. They were clearly two separate actions that are completely independent on each other and both need to be evaluated in isolation!
  8. Do you realize just how pathetic you sound? This was you yesterday... So you would fire him yourself but demand an explanation from his "former butt-broken dick-suckers" as to why he still has a job?? WOW
  9. What were they "trying to do" exactly? Fail to make the post-season again? They overpaid for proven talent and tried to turn a 73 win team into WS contenders overnight and have failed miserably so far. Those trades were terrible at the time and look even worse now knowing how much it ended up tying their hands. But no, those trades worked out for us because WE GOTS 10 WARS out of 3 proven players. Whoopty f***ing doo.
  10. You're making yourself look real good trying to rationalize AA's incompetence! Keep it up!

  12. I understand. I'm just getting tired of the weak rationalizations by some around here and the delusional comment was more directed at them (Ken, I'm looking at you). Once he was forced to trade Halladay, the expectations to compete subsided significantly which reduced the pressure and allowed him to let players walk and take advantage of the old CBA (which in fairness he did a great job at). At those times, even I was more forgiving toward his f*** ups and even tolerated jobs being handed to guys like Corey f***ing Patterson. He then threw in the towel after failing to sign Darwish and declared the team "not ready yet" to compete before the 2012 season got underway. JPR never had the same kind of privileges.
  13. I don't think it's fair to directly compare the two when it comes to drafting since JPR was dealing with a much tighter budget and was often forced to draft lower ceiling college players who had a lower chance to bust. AA on the other hand has been given not only more financial flexibility, but also plenty more time to build a young talented core that was poised to compete on a "sustainable basis". Instead, he's built an old inefficient team that's about to enter the 3rd year of a three year imaginary window to compete with more holes than ever. Besides, bringing up JPR in order to rationalize why AA isn't that bad of a GM is just a sad attempt by delusional apologists to create a false dichotomy. As you mentioned yourself, TFG can't even get the basics right. After failing last year, he talked about how he undervalued defense (so he handed Goins a starting job to fix the problem lol). Now he's mentioning putting more focus on durability, hahaha. The window is about to close but the amateur hour will never end unless there are some big changes (pun intended).
  14. Oh god...
  15. Logic? hahaha It's called being a delusional/senile homer and logic has very little to do with it.
  16. Even without a committed ownership?? I think not.
  17. So Cashman and Cherington are both incompetent yet their teams have been much more successful than the Jays... What would you say contributed to that? A more committed ownership?
  18. I would love to... But only if holding a rifle would help you grow some balls so can finally stand behind your own words.
  19. Your exact words you lunatic!

  21. AA has been VINDICATED!!! LMFAO
  22. And somehow you're still willing to give him a pass and were saying such absurd things like "AA has been vindicated" just a few months ago. You're a joke!
  23. So basically, AA doesn't understand baseball but needs to be given a longer leash because Ash got 7 years and JP got 8 and that would only be fair. Makes sense.
  24. Now we're just going in circles. I've made my point already and if you want to interject and scream out "ownership" every time someone criticizes AA, then I guess that's your prerogative. But lets please not get this twisted and make it sound like someone is preventing you from expressing your concerns. I'll be the first person to acknowledge that, and as a result, I try to not speak about things that are difficult to verify (such as the extent to which the ownership is influencing AA's decisions or if they're actually capable of finding a proper replacement). That being said, do I really need to be an expert to realize that AA has no idea how to assemble a complete roster?? Do I need to be a catching instructor to realize that JPA just wasn't good enough to be the primary catcher on a competitive team? Or the fact that it's not smart to hand a starting job to a 26 year old all glove 2B who has never shown the ability to handle major league pitching?? Oh yeah, that's right, who cares about that s*** because OWNERSHIP!!!!
