  1. Regardless who controls it, they're being trolled hard by Matthew Morgan
  2. Haha I know. He follows my brother for some reason. I just can't help but think Bautista is following the draft and followed the wrong guy, since he's already following Hoffman too.
  3. Bautista is following fake Matt Morgan now haha. Kid must be confused.
  4. I wouldn't be a buyer on Price either. Samardzija and Shields intrigue me because of less of a cost. Shields to be a free agent IIRC, should lessen the price even more. If I'm the Royals, and out of it, I look to deal him for the best package (obviously). Getting established prospects is better than a supplemental pick in 2015 IMO if they were to qualify him.
  5. I would be shocked if the Jays make the playoffs and turn any of the core pieces over. AA likely stays pat, and hopes to have room to re sign Melky and add a SP. Cut ties with Santos, Morrow (?) likely keeps the payroll similar to this year with arb raises and increases to Reyes without looking up the numbers. If the Jays aren't contending like this again come this time 2015, I agree with you, it makes absolute sense to start selling. A playoff run likely keeps the same squad together to at least start the season. I don't think this year is the right time, but if we pay Edwin and Jose well into their 30's to be Blue Jays, the inevitable decline will come, followed by mediocrity again. Choosing when to sell on them will be key, although it won't be this year (nor should it be at this point). I agree with what you're saying, that we need to replenish the major league team with young talent. When and how will be interesting to see.
  6. Just finished my university career, and I didn't know that was a save situation. I'll eat crow on that one. Can someone explain why?
  7. Did Buck just say Casey is coming on for the save? Lay off the bottle
  8. Love seeing Pillar out there in LF this inning. That ball may have dropped
  9. Buck: "The Jays are figuring out that walking can be pretty sexy"
  10. He's pitched well, but still scares me every time he takes the hill.
  11. Have Cabrera leading off next inning, which is huge.
  12. I think the Jays making the post season justifies it in Alex's mind to not move any pieces named Edwin, Jose or Mark. Who do you think would be a viable midseason acquisition?
  13. Another good pitch from Happ. Limiting the damage this inning hopefully.
  14. While I agree with your premise Gibbers, the situation doesn't call for it right now. If the Jays were battling for a WC spot right now, I'd agree completely. The Jays are in the best situation they've been in for 20 years. And even if they're exploring options, who do you viably suggest would be out there? I'm assuming major league ready prospects would be on your radar. Miller and Taveras for Bautista, like you said in an earlier post, is a pipe dream.
