    I really don’t care why Derek Fisher is a terrible outfielder. I’m sure he’s a great guy, but we just signed George f***ing Springer, have three incumbent outfielders and have no room for a AAAA player with no options who can’t hit either. Maybe he’ll figure it out but I won’t lose a moment of sleep thinking about what could’ve been.

    It’s impossible to have two top 20 prospects and five top 100 and be one of the worst farms in baseball. It simply does not compute. Not that it matters, but it’s a really weird stance to take.

    I know I said Odorizzi the other day, but the more I think about it the more I prefer Paxton. Highest upside, one year, lots of K’s. Odorizzi would raise the floor of the pitching staff but what the Jays really need is another potential impact starter near the top. Lots of money off the books again next year to go shopping at the top of the market again. Full Atlanta method where you pay guys big bucks for one year. Rinse and repeat. The longer you win the easier it is to target those players.

    I think so. He's always walked at a decent clip and kept K's in check which is a recipe for success in this offense.

    I don’t think it’s far fetched at all that players never really got into rhythm in 2020 for whatever reason. Whether it was injury, no access to tape between at bats, interrupted season or anything in between. These guys are creatures of habit and 2020 was extremely abnormal. Semien is a 10-20% above league average hitter who plays up the middle. If he’s healthy he’s a lock for like 3 WAR and anything else is gravy.
