  1. Release the Niese! Pittsburgh is smart. They see the value of Jon.
  2. ffs you live in Toronto, eat better pizza
  3. From King David's? extra tuna...
  4. Happy, casual, and respects personal space
  5. Of course he's more likely to flop than succeed. Still deserves a chance based on the profile. And the "Yankees know best" argument is weak
  6. Goldstein had him 8th, in between Dan Cortes (who?) and Blake Beaven. "The Good: Seager is a sound hitter with a knack for putting the fat part of the ball on the bat. He has above-average bat speed and hand-eye coordination, and he hit .344 in games away from High Desert. He's a heady, instinctual player with nearly average speed who plays a fundamentally sound second base. The Bad: Other than the bat, Seager's tools are a bit short. He has below-average power with little projection, and while he makes all of the plays on balls he gets to, he's not especially rangy at second base. Like most players who put up big numbers in the Cal League, scouts are reticent to put a big number on him until he proves it at a higher level." Sounds a lot like, oh, I dunno, Refsnyder.
  7. "notable prospect" Check again on Seager. He had a .921 OPS in 2010 and then on the M's top 10's for 2011, he was ranked f***ing 9th by BA and Sickels. Behind JOHERMYN CHAVEZ.
  8. Because he smells like Devon Travis and Kyle Seager Just want to see Ref got an opportunity, bro.
  9. you probably throw like a girl
  10. BP in July: Glove - 45 - Fringe-average range; actions and mobility fringy and hands inconsistent; capable of making tough play and then booting an easy one; below-average instincts and feel in the infield; below-average clock. Arm - 45 - Below-average arm strength; above-average accuracy. BP one year ago: 5 potential glove - solid-average range; improving footwork; high baseball IQ; footwork can get choppy around the bag; fringe-average defender (present)
  11. Maybe they think his hands are too boxy to play the infield
  12. I think it has to be 2 years @ $1M with 4M in incentives. So a deal that can escalate to $10M in total... I'm still saying typo by Sherman
  13. So all of a sudden organizations and their scouts can be thoroughly trusted when it comes to evaluating defense in the minors? ok. I thought we were past that.
  14. Sherman has to be wrong.
  15. I don't think that's true. It sounds like they are in active trade discussions with multiple teams.
  16. "HERPDERP on BJMB is a garbage clown"
  17. It's hard to fathom. Toronto doesn't really have that big sexy centerpiece unless they include Stroman. Their other asks have been rumored to be... Corbin + Swanson + 3 others. Corbin + 5 others including 4 players that were in the MLB at some point last year. They would probably demand for Stroman, ask for Pillar/Travis + Pompey + Osuna, as well as a couple of Tellez + Vlad + Alford etc. Pillar + Travis + Osuna + Sanchez + Vlad + Alford Maybe that's a "bulk" package that Miami would actually think about? Seems retarded though.
  18. Chris Davis is the ultimate risk-reward free agent. 7.0 WAR - 2013 0.8 WAR - 2014 5.6 WAR - 2015 2.4 WAR - projection You're almost tempted to view his projection distribution as bimodal... I mean it feels like he's either going to be awesome or really suck, not something in between.
  19. Jamie Campbell is in the game!!! Jamie Campbell ‏@SNETCampbell 54s54 seconds ago Can confirm Adam Lind to Mariners.
