AA picked some carrots for the feast but it's not like he tore up the farm. Really, the state he left the 2016 pitching depth in was more concerning to me than the general state he left the farm in. Having absolutely no pitching depth beyond a few MLB guys forced a lot of MLB level moves and expenditures. Very costly when you add everything up - and the damage fixing it is still not done, probably.
Sure it's a bottom third farm right now but it's not barren, and it's the type of deficiency that can be addressed over time with good drafting and signing, sound developing, shrewd trades, and maybe a comp pick or two. Shatkins can pick away at it; the farm isn't a pressing issue.
