    It makes all the sense in the world to wait when the player is as old as Bautista. His production this season is very important for his 2017-2019 outlook.

    I don't think this is very likely. Mortality runs counterproductive to spreadability for diseases, and the human population is so massive and diverse at this point. If we want to get serious, if humanity suffers an apocalypse it will most likely be from a combination of things. Even if it's chiefly climate change, that problem isn't distinct from global conflict (war) or even disease. 50% of us die from being baked by the sun 20% die in floods 10% die from disease 5% die from war 0.000000000001% die from a Republican Muslim suicide bomber that allahu akbars our fantasy leagues because we tread on his whatever amendment rights for some reason

    hi in a 2000 year outlook, climate change killing everyone (or most everyone) is by far the probable dystopia outcome at this point your religion is and will be utterly irrelevant

    Well there was never an "editor" or anything like that. It was just a scattershot attempt at making something. JFaS leaving was the big blow. But the blog never had much focus; it tried to be too many things. We had a couple of heavy hitting analytics guys (who were too good to stick around), ace trying to write about prospects (and basically ripping people off, unfortunately), other random people writing random things spanning from news recaps and tidbits to long form essays. I was (am) the type of person who would rather write one in depth article a week than 4 little breaking news / recap articles. I blame my own apathy in part for the blog completely dying. I want to write things from time to time (baseball and non-baseball) but it feels like a total waste to put it on the blog.

    Shapiro was on MLB Network radio yesterday and when asked about Bautista and Edwin, he said that success in 2016 and seeing more revenue growth would go a long way towards affording them / getting approval to pay for them.

    Judging from the size of the STH event, the bump was huge.

    He ends up doing this every year. He'll trade some of the 3rd rounders for pennies on the dollar, I guess.

    So most reasonable solution at this point is just to turn Gibbers' #65 into #44. This seems like #113 is just North's native pick which was accidentally deleted. I've made these changes and everything is sorted out to my satisfaction at this point. Thanks TCA for being drunk detective

    I'm assuming one of the pick 65's is supposed to be a 44, but yes we should give him waiver 40 if he wants it. Token appreciation

    Meh. The thing is 10% done and it only officially began today. It doesn't really matter if it takes two weeks or two days to finish.

    I feel like the blog is dead, and there's no coming back. The wind is completely out of the sails. Still, as a creative writing outlet it could still be used. I mean it's there - a functioning platform that some people might read if you link it from here or Reddit or whatever. I'm not really sure why it failed. I guess blogging is just more of a commitment than everyone thought. We had like, 9 different people involved here at different times and everyone had their own specific reasons to stop doing it.
