  1. He is getting almost zero pitches down the middle. Got impatient about it last night for really the first time and took some bad swings. If prime Jose Bautista was getting pitched to like this he would have like 8 walks over Vlad's five games. It's mostly a string of awful luck that pitchers haven't made more mistakes and given him some pitches to actually hit.
  2. Knew it was broken. Still tried to make the play. Klubot.
  3. He is the third or fourth best projected hitter on the team so he should be hitting high in the order.

It's really something. They were total zeroes. Ibaka, I guess could have been expected since the fact that he was good this year was itself kind of surprising. Powell has been bad for a while so that's not surprising, despite his flashes of positive impact. FVV is a big surprise... not sure if he is choking or playing hurt or what it is.
  5. Biggest mistake I ever made... not holding onto Raul Adalberto Mondesi! He's a fantasy stud?

Raps played like s*** and still arguably should have won, when you consider the technical fouls and how many wide open threes they clanked. Not worried. Depth looks like a big issue though. The bench is awful. An injury to a starter could be catastrophic.
  7. "Evaluators" are cracking their old calculus textbooks open to try to figure out how to interpret AAA numbers, when wRC+ already f***ing exists. Biggio 2018: 145 wRC+ in AA Biggio 2019: 168 wRC+ so far He's off to a great start but it's not that hard to put it in context. It's also not other-wordly at this point. Fair to give him some helium but it's too early to say that he's the Jays' 4th best prospect or anything like that.
  8. The scout tweets about Anthony Alford from spring training are f***ing hilarious now
  9. It doesn't have to be that stark... maybe "improvement" just means he goes from a 3.5 win pitcher to a 4 win pitcher who is capable of seasonal variance that goes a bit higher. His curveball (pitchFX or whatever on Fangraphs classifies it as a CB) is currently the best in baseball by run values. It looks like an uber-elite pitch to me. It completely owns hitters; the action is disgusting and it looks like the product of computerized, optimal pitch design or something.
  10. Not enough information yet. He's getting super lucky on HR rate but I do like the repertoire changes he has done. The slider looks like an elite secondary and he is finally using it as often as he should. I would bet that he is clearly better than old Stroman.
  11. The pitching WAR leaderboard is kind of mind blowing. Lots of youth, former Blue Jays, surprisingly elite arms. 1. Marco Gonzalez 2. Boyd 3. Luis Castillo 4. Paxton 5. Scherzer 6. Stroman 7. Rodon 8. Gray 9. Bauer 10. German Marquez 11. Caleb Smith 12. Glasnow 13. Weaver 14. Musgrove 15. Syndergaard
  12. Feel free to sign any time now, Dallas.
  13. Eduardo Nunez is injured and not on my IR. Ian Desmond is no longer injured and in my IR. Fantrax doesn't let me swap them? Oops wrong thread
  14. Nope. We probably had a potential bet about production and you wanted to throw in some retarded PA clause which drastically tilted the bet in your direction, as you have done multiple times with multiple other posters. I think you might have a brain tumor.
  15. Tercet is a genius. - Complain that nobody ever makes bets with him - Receives legitimate offers to bet on something - Only takes bets if you send him the money up front - "trust me I play poker" - Complains that nobody ever makes bets with him Repeat forever. Never has to take a risk, gets to call everyone else a pussy for not betting with him. Genius.
  16. Abom I said HANDS DOWNS.
  17. The Rays are insanely good. Their offense is legitimate and so deep. Pitching is good all over and especially in light of how they handle their pitching staff. Best team in the division, hands down. And quality farm depth to back it up.
  18. Everyone does, but it's been four years running with those expectations and he still hits like a middle infielder.
  19. Somewhat encouraging though. His velocity was apparently up and the K/BB numbers were good. He might be fine if the trend continues next time.
  20. Wow, James Paxton. Pretty glad I didn't trade you for Danny Vogelback yesterday.
  21. Min gets the risk and the reward. I worry that Darvish is entirely broken but Smoak is extremely boring.
  22. I'll text Ross and let him know
  23. I have cancelled it in Yahoo because there are other offers under consideration. I would likely still do it.
  24. SP for a 1B makes the most sense for me. I have some SP depth.
