Not saying I like him but the theory is that he is just a super unique profile. 80 defender at first base maybe. People think he could play CF like Bellinger but Seattle doesn’t seem to care. He’s kind of like Bellinger with less power but even better first base defense. Way higher floor than the typical first base prospect. I also think some scouts hope the game power plays up in the big leagues because he gets good hit tool grades.

New rule for next draft btw - if someone makes an illegal selection, their clock ends and the draft moves on immediately. They can correct the pick whenever.

Looks like his stock is trending up. I wouldn't pick him if we were drafting 500 prospects but at least he sounds similar to a lot of other high upside foreigners now.
