  1. I think he has failed his audition with poopy brown colours. I'm actually surprised they continue to give him playing time over Smoak and certain other players. He's not even improving, which may allow a s***** narrative like "he's figuring it out at the MLB level" (he has a .666 OPS in the second half and hasn't taken a f***ing walk in September). This is my one current complaint with the FO and coaches. Rowdy Tellez has nothing going on and he should be sent overseas. It's insulting to Justin Smoak, a solid veteran, to be taking a seat every couple of days for this guy. f***, I'd rather give Anthony Alford playing time. At least Alford can run and has some obvious defensive/speed upside. I don't see any light at the end of Rowdy's disgusting tunnel.
  2. Huh.... he kind of is!
  3. I've been talking to working-class fantasy players in middle Ontario and there is a groundswell of grassroots support for Yexit. Don't believe what members of the left wing message board media, like the lying @DoctorDingDong, tell you - Yexit is VERY popular.
  4. Hmmm it seems like crowd support for YEXIT is growing every day.
  5. Man, Jorge Soler might cruise past 50.
  6. One very common outhouse hole for baseball fans to fall into is to analyze or overanalyze quotes from managers and executives. It's mostly just doublespeak, party lines, and platitudes... all of which is to be expected from public-facing people and people in positions where they have to negotiate with competitors, but it's all essentially devoid of insight or any content worth turning a brain cell to.
  7. I would have to cheer for TCA. I'm hoping for some inebriated streaming being the difference maker here.
  8. Missed this point yesterday. If this is your indirect way of saying that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is actually a DH, then I'll agree. Otherwise you are just wrong.
  9. I find it impossible to cheer for either finalist. Maybe I should delete the Yahoo league right now and start the Fantrax process?
  10. This isn’t a refutation. He’s using Urena to give infielders partial rests at the end of a long season. I’ve slowly come to the opinion that you are either obtuse on purpose, or you are the dumbest above average poster.
  11. This is incredibly simple. 1) Urena is not an outfielder. Alford is not an infielder. They have nothing to do with each other. 2) Davis and Alford's defense is a wash as far as we know. Davis' projections are slightly better.
  12. Remember, the organization and Bobby Meachem broke up 11 days ago. I think we now know why. Meachem: Anthony Alford has made swing changes and he is good now. You should play him a lot in September. Shatkins: We are only heavily invested in the players WE acquired. You're fired! We will promote Alford and make him ride the bench as a monument to your hubris.
  13. I love convenient swing change narratives! An .850 OPS in the 2019 AAA environment! That's almost as good as, hmmm, let me pick a random name... Billy f***ing McKinney! At some point Anthony Alford's nice big muscles and "raw power" trend towards irrelevancy. His game power has been at the Ryan Goins level in his ~2100 PA MiLB career. I wish that was a big exaggeration but it really isn't, look at their MiLB career slash lines: .277/.336/.386 .265/.358/.393 Anthony Alford has done NOTHING to take playing time away from any other OF on the Blue Jays roster. Nothing. Jonathan Davis has a better MiLB ISO than Alford. McKinney and Fisher's MiLB numbers put Alford's to shame. This is the last post I will make about Anthony Alford. Shut the f*** up about him. It's funny. The year before Alford was a consensus top 50 MLB prospect, Dalton Pompey was just as highly regarded. History f***ing repeating itself with disappointing, injury prone prospect failures and screeching, crybaby Blue Jays fans. Thank this post if you agree. Reply if you are a ********.
  14. I can’t find the iota leaderboard on Fangraphs. Can you help me?
  15. Almost as impressive as Alford’s -2
  16. At some point this offseason I think I’ll get bored, wake up one morning, and Mr. Robot will have migrated the league over night.
  17. It gives me anxiety that they didn't leave a one day buffer, just in case their own internal calendar counting was wrong.
  18. During/after the broadcast last night Cliff Floyd said that Trent Thornton pitched well because he had a chip on his shoulder and implied that he was mad that he had to throw behind an opener. Nevermind the obvious explanation, being that the opener actually works... I f***ing love the opener. I love that by sequencing arms in a different way you can make two players greater than the sum of their traditional parts. I hope the Blue Jays use like three openers next season. Players like Zeuch, Wag, Thornton, Bosucki, etc. should probably not be used as traditional SP.
  19. If Anthony Alford going 1 for 3 should have earned him a consecutive start, what does blowing chunks for two seasons in AAA + blowing even bigger chunks in his small major league career earn him? A ticket to the KBO?
  20. I find all of the screeching over Alford's lack of playing time very amusing. Very, very amusing.
  21. Well he's expensive and Austin Riley is a third baseman.
  22. I'm sorry... what?
  23. Well in context some of them might be comparable. Grant77 is actually right here, as per usual.
  24. I like seafood and I would marry a steak but I've never understood the surf n' turf thing.
