    Fangraphs takes a pretty big exposure risk with doing the Board. The amount of information they endeavor to display can only serve, at times, to highlight the fact that they just do not have the manpower to truly verify all of that information. It's inevitable that they will miss grades, screw up ETAs, rank certain players horribly wrong. That's not to say there is anything wrong with what they are doing! The reverse is perhaps even more annoying - the all text top 100 lists that don't even attempt to describe the tools of the players, so the list contains zero granular data other than the order of the prospects. That's even worse.

    I don't think teams tend to game pitcher service time. No f***ing point with how unpredictable arms can be. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Juan Soto 2016 GCL age 17 .361/.410/.550; 45 games; 5 HR; 25 K's and 14 BB. Orelvis Martinez 2019 GCL age 17 .275/.352/.549; 40 games; 7 HR; 29 K's and 14 BB. Not quite as hitterish as Juan the God but almost as impressive.

    Just to put this in context, the league leader in 2018 had 8 HR in 47 games. There aren't a lot of homers down there. 5 dingers in 8 GCL games is bonkers.

    Well now you've moved the goal posts. I don't think it's fair to say that his reasonable floor is a high end reliever (your original statement). I do think he could reasonably be a good reliever. But there is a difference there. His floor is definitely not a high end reliever.

He used to be able to just throw a strike anywhere and get decent results because his FB was hard to hit. Not so much the case anymore, so he has to try to stay off the middle of the plate and he doesn't have the command to try to do that. I'm surprised that Houston even wanted him.
