  1. This is the big leagues. No bones are being thrown in here. #NoBones
  2. Love yer takes, bro
  3. This is very true. See, for example: http://baseball-farm.com/index.php/2018/11/25/2019-mlb-mock-draft-tldr-at-bottom/ Coincidentally that actually did have Toronto picking Manoah. The rest of it makes your point, though.
  4. Probably a moot point anyway. Sogard had a 2.5 win season and will be looking for at least a platoon gig. In Toronto he'd be (or should be) a pure backup.
  5. The opportunity cost to giving an MLB roster spot to Sogard or someone like Sogard is the opportunity to give a roster spot to an interesting young player with controllable upside, like Valera. I don't think the team is at the competitive point where that makes sense, so I think it's bad process. Also, the organization now has a track record of finding 2019 Eric Sogard types on minor league deals!
  6. He should be paying THEM peanuts!
  7. His wRC+ shocks me every time I check his page. I expect to see like, 85 or something and it was f***ing 66. Nearly the worst hitter in baseball that received 400+ PA. And he's a negative baserunner and defender for his career. seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  8. Bringing back literally Eric Sogard is the wrong response to past events. They should bring in one or two "Eric Sogards" for 2020, though.
  9. I don't understand the Drury part. f***, I'd rather tender Devon Travis a contract.
  10. I don't even think Urena is a decent defensive SS. He's worse than useless. Valera could make the team as the backup MIF. Bench might be Reese, Valera, and two from the glut of s***** outfielders McKinney/Alford/Teo/Fisher/Davis/Drury if he is tendered.
  11. Terminator, Jim, and Dick Pole seem to all be in agreement then and I’m not sure why anybody needs to fling mud at beloved Jim. Look at his middle paragraph!!
  12. Well he also has injury-based injury concern. Lots of little arm/elbow s*** over the last couple of years. 2017 - 74 IP - elbow inflammation twice 2018 - 176 IP - I don't remember any injury but he might have missed a bit of time? 2019 - 107 IP - wrist thing late and elbow tendinitis early
  13. Barves lose! Seemed like a popular pick

It's very inaccessible. Many stupid little arbitrary rules. Why do offsides even exist now? The playing surface is sufficiently small, and the players are so fast now, that it just seems kind of stupid. It does not help improve the flow of play, like the over-and-back rule does in basketball. Now that they review offsides and take goals away it just seems extra f***ing dumb. Just remove the stupid blue lines and give the offensive team half the ice to play with.

Absolutely. It's like a different sport in the playoffs. Shootouts are the worst. They should just drop down to 1-on-1 until someone scores, lol. That's at least closer to hockey than a shootout.
  16. It is October, lol. Fantasy baseball season is over for most brains.
  17. Sounds like the WTPHDL needs a..... Yexit?

I think the rules are what does it in for me. Reviewing offsides is so annoying. I can't stand penalties for accidentally putting the puck out of play. I hate the random stuff like the goalie trapezoid. I miss hitting and fighting! Every big hit is an automatic penalty.

Hockey is such a terrible sport now. I don’t get it
  21. All first round picks are "protected" now.
