  1. He's not ready or he's incapable of being a starter. I think he'll be an elite reliever. He has almost no idea where it is going though. Reminds me of Betances, sort of.
  2. The threat of Dickerson's pure hitting ability made Leutge throw that wild pitch.
  3. Ray reminds me a bit of Zack Wheeler for some reason. In my head Wheeler was up and down and injury prone with the Mets but came into his own his final year before free agency at 29 years old. The Phillies paid him hugely and bigly and took a bit of a gamble on the fact that 2019 = a sign of things to come and a demonstration of true evolution and it has paid off so far, he has been even better than Philadelphia probably expected. $120 million for Robert Ray?
  4. It's so bad that it's good, though.
  5. lol I will never forget your posts. Unforgiveable. Your reputation is gone, tarnished, nada.
  6. Martinez only has 27 games in A+ and mediocre numbers there. Decent chance he starts 2022 at that level while Groshans is in AAA. I don't see how Orelvis knocks first unless your point is just that Groshans will never be the one who knocks in which case sure lol.
  7. You might want to start him if you plan on punting all of your pitching ratios anyway
  8. A piece of crap who is about to get retired
  9. There is a start active players button. It's green!
  10. Mannnn I traded pOhtani for Victor Robles in the DDL to make the transition happen.
  11. Uhhh these priorities are in the wrong order, Sweeny.
  12. The extra roster spot is not trivial. It's a big advantage. Now the Angels are probably not using that advantage much...
  13. I know it's cheating but I don't think you need to prefer one to the other, unless the budget makes you pick one which I don't think would necessarily be true. You predetermine how much you are willing to pay both. You start with reasonable aggressive offers to both to see if you can tempt them to ignore free agency (unlikely) then you stay engaged and open minded while only moving your maximum offer up if the overall market has moved up. And you court replacements simultaneously. Now if I HAD to pick only one it would be Ray. I think Semien is a better guy to have long term objectively because of injury risk but Ray is more crucial to Toronto if you look at the next couple or years. I think the team could get by without Semien but I think if they don't have Robbie Ray or someone as good as him the rotation looks like s***.
  14. THE spreadsheet would never say to sit Kirk. Charlie's spreadsheet however...
  15. Have to manage for the entire four game set though
  16. Yeah I would now honestly. It's probably one more PA with a chance for two from that spot and it would have been six full defensive innings. Good trade I think.
  17. Really nice execution. It's like a mature playoff team or something. Manufacturing runs against their Ace? Who the f***
  18. Couple more tries at it. Dick will poke

Lmao holy f*** Don't they have like one good player
  20. How about we just f*** up his entire season so Ray can win the Cy Young
  21. I like Dickerson leading off because he's the type of guy who can jump a pitch and ambush Cole with an early homer. Rattle him early. Wait for it, this is pitcher specific.
  22. He's also arguably not, if Kirk and Dickerson are both in the lineup, depending on what you think of Dickerson.
  23. yes ser, that is how numbers work
