    You typically see teams go underslot when they have a surplus of picks, i.e. flexibility in the draft. Toronto would really be forcing the issue if they went underslot with pick 1.

    Underslot would be weird for Toronto too since they lack a 2nd and therefore lack flexibility. I do think we see a straight forward pick. Bonus = slot value.

    I doubt it. They are only four games back of the Mets. A mediocre team wins that division and they have a decent chance still. They can also call up Pache and Drew Waters and try to catch prospect lightning in a bottle.

    Gurriel is a more traditional guy. Someone with a hit tool, power, and an arm. In theory he should be able to hit .280+ with 30+ homers and helpful OF defense, year after year. Biggio is like the polar opposite. I can see why many would prefer Gurriel. Belief in him and skepticism of Biggio.

    I know people love Biggio and I like him too but IF the Blue Jays think his physical limitations are starting to be exposed (I don't think so, but I can see the argument), then now would be the time to deal him. Imagine this lineup: Semien Bichette Guerrero Springer Hernandez Rizzo Bryant Gurriel Kirk They wouldn't even need pitchers. Trent Thornton could win every start.
