"Nothing against the guy. I love the kid. But take his first read away and what does he do? He runs, he scrambles and he plays streetball.” I dunno lol streetball part is a bit much
  2. Damn it's still tight BTS has the tie breaker by the way

Chara should be a hall of famer

Yeah shocked to see PK call it quits at 33 but he has been pretty awful for like 4 seasons now. He also has a lot of non-playing interests I think maybe he ends up in broadcasting in a couple of years.
  5. 10 years $375,000,000
  6. well he has a good eye and forces hitter's counts also, he has the biggest strikezone in baseball so the heart of his zone is also the biggest lol
  7. 11 WAR MVP season at age 30 right before free agency What does the contract look like? Who gives it to him?
  8. Well we need a team that is a) good enough to beat NYY but lame enough to choke against Toronto I can't see Cleveland beating the Yanks
  9. well yeah of course i don't even think they get to the Jays though AL#2 plays the winner of AL#3 and AL#6 (likely Cleveland and Seattle) Yanks choke against J-Rod and the M's SPs Toronto beats Tampa, Houston, Seattle, and the Dodgers to win the WS.
  10. If he runs wild one game Judge could pull off the first 60/20 season in MLB history Truly Bondsian
  11. And plus defense including 72 games in CF lmao
  12. probably, he's f***ing nuts
  13. Rays have a lot of blown saves probably because they play a lot of close games? Also they use relievers a lot. They lead baseball in holds. Like they have the most innings pitched from their pen and it's not even close. They also lead baseball in Shutdowns. And they are second in shutdown minus meltdown differential.
  14. Romano's transformation is pretty remarkable You'd expect a SP who is 91-93 to be like 93-95 in the pen. So clearly he trained and added significant velocity upside on top of that. And he probably improved the slider by one MAYBE EVEN TWO full scouting grades somehow. It's interesting how his 2019 numbers in both MLB and AAA were s*** in the results department as he learned how to relieve. Had the K rate though. But got destroyed in the majors and AAA in terms of ERA/FIP.
  15. he was a mediocre SP prospect back then 3. Chicago White Sox (Traded to Rangers) Jordan Romano, RHP (from Blue Jays) – Romano is a 25-year-old righty who spent 2018 at Double-A. He’s a strike-throwing righty with a fastball in the 91-93 range and he has an average slider and changeup, both of which reside in the 80-84 range. His command is advanced enough that both of his secondaries play up a little bit. He likely profiles as a fifth starter or rotation depth, but the Rangers current pitching situation is quite precarious and Romano may just end up sticking around to eat innings with the hope that he sticks as a backend starter or swingman when they’re competitive once again.
  16. well yeah Henke and Ward
  17. Osuna at his peak was better. Without looking at stats - in my memory he was more dominant.
  18. Holy s***
  19. It’s so annoying. Every time someone “crosses up” the shift these guys are euphoric. But they rarely get happy when defensive alignment causes an out - they don’t even mention it most of the time.
  20. The Blue Jays defensive positioning has been sublime this year. Hard to question it at all at this point. There will always be random balls in play that make a shift look stupid
  21. Almost all of these are important. Like to tie the game or take the lead. No cheapies He’s also murdering them like he’s 30 years old
  22. You can also just look at a proper stat like WAR. Guerrero’s WAR through age 23 is not going to look that impressive
  23. Toronto still runs somewhat mediocre payrolls They can and should continue to tick up
  24. Definitely not a DH Seems like he might even be able to play short. So 3B likely, corner outfield worst case scenario
  25. Remember when the bullpen was bad? Lol
