  1. The single point is just that Zaidi is a cuck if he does not sign Correa. That's all I am saying.
  2. Mate they project for less wins than the O's and Marlins. Barely more than the Pirates. But this has nothing to do with final standings and everything to do with resource allocation. $20M wasted on Joc Pederson could just be invested in your minor league development system. Or to bring in actually good players like Carlos Correa
  3. Nobody is saying they should tank But they should piss or get off the pot Sign Correa TODAY or else trade at least a few of the old but decent players and focus on 2024 or 2025
  4. Then why are they signing Joc Pederson, Mitch Haniger, Sean Manaea, and paying them along with a host of other 30+ year olds? As far I can tell they aren't rebuilding. They are "waiting to spend" and have been for a couple years. I agree they aren't good. Farhan Zaidi is fence sitting. He's trying to run a payroll outside the top 10, sneak into the playoffs, and get lucky in classic SFG fashion. Are they waiting for prospects? They have a handful of good ones but I am not sure it's a deep/elite system or anything. Harrison looks like Tiedemann; Matos and Luciano need a couple more years of seasoning. Bailey looks alright.
  5. Yeah they can take it year to year with corner outfielders. I have no issue with that. Decent chance that someone like Barger/Orelvis/Horwitz/Brown emerges as an ostensible OF option at some point this year anyway.
  6. Yeah but it's the same old thing for the Giants. A collection of low-risk players on decent deals, lots of veterans.... no stars at all. The Giants need to be reeling in Carlos Correa and MORE immediately. If they don't this offseason, they really f***ed up. They need a f***ing star player or two. Their best projected bat is Thairo Estrada!
  7. Keeping the three 3 C's would be weird but there is some merit to it Jansen is hurt half the time anyway Moreno could be given some positional flexibility - have him focus on 3B/2B/LF in the spring
  8. Man, a four man OF of Springer Kiermaier Gurriel one of Benintendi, Conforto, Brantley Would be very comfortable.
  9. Market inflated since then though Like Cody Bellinger ended up getting basically what his arb projection was
  10. I think some heavy recency bias since he’s following Strider and Harris. People just assuming Atlanta can do no wrong. But Grissom is a clear tier below them, he’s like that Tampa Bay 2B prospect right now I forget his name wtf is it. Brujan
  11. It’s relevant. Most players show their true max EV by then. Or at least 95% of it. Grissom is weird. He might have a noodle arm and be a 2B and he might not have good pop. Not a slam dunk fantasy stud by any means. Like he could be a 20/30 player or he could be a 10/20 guy who struggles for real life playing time
  12. Lmao this guy is 5’8” and almost 30 wtf is Boston thinking???
  13. Of course Jansen has a bit more value, Toronto would have to be desperate to do a straight up trade
  14. Kevin Kiermaier will have more WAR than Teoscar Hernandez this year Quote this
  15. I’m starting to get very excited for the Kevin Kiermaier 4 WAR revenge season
  16. Still no word on the cost?
  17. You say this like Toronto didn’t heavily explore the trade route. I would assume Sexy Ross has dozens of hours of phone calls with all possible trade partners at this point. And Kiermaier is a great fit in part because he does not preclude another move for an OF, whatsoever.
  18. “Tremendous” —— not exactly. It would be a very minor miscalculation, in hindsight. A mistake about the size of a rounding error. It’s also completely possible Tampa Bay didn’t engage in good faith with a division rival on the trade possibility. Maybe they asked for an actual prospect
  19. Completely agree He’s just too hot basically
  20. It’s funny how good this fit is And how much some people hate it I’m laughing out loud
  21. They are quite good inefficient in their use of resources. You don’t have to call that “stupid” but they do actively make holes in future teams that they have to either spend their way out of or live with. The age of the Mets right now is kind of bonkers.
  22. Even the Dodgers have a budget of sorts, or a spending philosophy. They shy away from mega contracts
