    Even if you think Judge is clean and Barry is a criminal... Isn't it possible Sosa hit a clean 66? He was 29 at the time, physical prime. His positive test came 5 or 6 years later.

    I just can't see them ever using Kikuchi in a WC series. Maybe in the longer series he could be used

    Will be kind of fun to see the lineups today. Hopefully they just make White and Kikuchi and the 29th man (Lawrence?) eat like 15 of the 18 innings regardless of pitch count. f*** they could piggy back White and Kikuchi for all 9 in game 1 and then just let Casey Lawrence throw a 200 pitch complete game in game 2. Why not? If there are a few RP who want or need work get them in there. Spring Training style. I would expect the regulars who DO get some playing time today to just go through the motions. Go up there and swing three times, either get a hit or strikeout. Confident in a sweep today

    I think it's just command. If you look at RP samples from the last few years with 10+ IP and then sort by K% and eyeball for RPs who have had TONS of Ks but posted poor ERA and FIPs (read: got hammered while getting tons of Ks).... you don't get many but you see guys like Ray Black, Zac Rosscup, this s***** version of Craig Kimbrel... And his Stuff+ numbers support this 104.8 stuff+ and 94.3 command+ Compares to guys like Jordan Holloway, Matt Barnes, Jared Solomon, Gregory Soto, Yoan Lopez, Tyler Matzek, Andrew Wantz, Michael Fulmer, Jovani Moran, Corey Knebel There is no longer much reason to believe he can be a good starting pitcher. But there remains some reasons to believe he could even out into a pretty good reliever. Some of those reliever names are actually solid enough to help a good team.

    O'Neill will have better projections for 2023. That's probably the most important thing. If you aren't going for it in the next year or two then maybe Thomas. Detmers is also just a straight SP upgrade on Manning IMO so that works too haha.

    Yeah there are no throwaway games in the WCS Even if you go down 8 runs you don't throw in the towel and use your worst pitcher In the longer series you can punt a game if you are getting pummeled. Or take a mild risk and use your worst P if you are up huge.

    Hard to imagine him getting any important innings. To be honest I was thinking he would not even be on the roster until I saw these numbers.

    No. His stuff is not that great. Looks like he has some command. His MiLB K numbers might have been buoyed by good command. I would not buy him in dynasty. Still likely overvalued because of prospect pedigree.

    wtf is this true 2.26 xFIP lmfao Even if you look at K-BB% he is 11th in that sample Toronto should just make him a reliever next year. Forget starting.

    Only in baseball would they permit irregularly shaped fields but then try to standardize the humidity of the object of the sport
