  1. Duran casually throwing 103 in spring
  2. You mean THE Barry Davis, of Bolton Honda fame?
  3. Iconic moments that belong on the immersive multimedia wall of Blue Jays history: - Bautista homer - John McDonald father's day homer - Brett Lawrie helmet slam - Brett Lawrie Yankee stadium railing injury and crying face
  4. I'm not sure. - Lukes has options. Lopez has an option. Horwitz has options. Barger has options. - Bernard is RHB so he might complement the OF better than Lukes or Horwitz, since there are two LHB starters - Bernard was primarily a CF in AAA recently, maybe he is okay defensively? - by projections, there is not an obvious offensive gap between any of Lopez, Lukes, or Bernard. - as a veteran NRI they might have a deal with Bernard that they will cut him loose if he does not make the team. I mean he probably never plays a game as a Blue Jay but I could see a path to him being the final bench player out of spring.
  5. Wynton Bernard is another candidate to get the final 40 man spot, maybe even an MLB roster spot...
  6. The depth pitchers who may need to be added if they want to keep them around are: Jackson, Bard, Junior Fernandez, Hutch, Lawrence
  7. Probably depends on the injury If they need a guy for a start or two they won't use Tiedemann or Zulueta But if it's to a replace a guy for a while, maybe they do just go straight to Teeds
  8. Oh he's definitely ready At worst he's some decent version of Robbie Ray
  9. Mr. Tiedemann had a tidy inning there, including a silly strikeout from Rodolfo Castro (who is a decent hitter).
  10. LOL I dunno, man Kikuchi had been given all the soft treatment to that point
  11. Tiedemann looked fine. The two singles were lucky. He was mostly 97. A bit wild.
  12. honestly, it seems like the ump is at fault here lots of weird stuff happening and it seems like it all stems from the ump not being ready
  13. the clock operators are having some issues this game
  14. old friend Carlos Santana
  15. in the article on Sportsnet today it mentions that Kikuchi wants to fall off the mound differently this year he might be trying something different from the traditional "straight line to home" thing
  16. Good job in the 3rd by Kikuchi quick out went 3-2 but didn't lose the guy, groundout made Bryan Reynolds look stupid on a high fastball for the K. Threw a slider for a strike, then got him out in front of a changeup for strike 2.
  17. that "lineout" by Bae was also not hard hit. More of a shallow fly.
  18. Baseball is 10000000x better with a pitch clock omfg
  19. Lukes did the same thing the pitch before and almost missed his mark
  20. Yeah I'm not sure that was actually correct by the clock operator, or the ump. They are probably told that the clock runs unless the umpire calls time. But if an ump steps away to get balls or whatever isn't that effectively time? I dunno. Like, if the pitcher cannot actually throw a pitch if he wanted then the clock should not be ticking down.
  21. Lukes can only blame himself. He was taking a lap, fixing his hair, and saying five hail maries after every foul ball. Just stay in the box, lol.
  22. If you are watching on GameDay Kikuchi looks pretty good again. The first BB had some close pitches. Second one, he lost command of his slider. The "lineout" of Smith-Njigba was actually a normal flyball. He made Austin Hedges look stupid. Some nice changeups today. Popping 96+ on the FB.
