I remember being so mad at that draft. IIRC they picked two players who were ranked in the 20s or 30s and Senyshyn was ranked as a 2nd rounder. Just three panicked reaches in a row.

They are kind of a light dynasty kind of remind me of the Red Wings in the 90s and early 2000s, with a small number of stars who carry them into their late 30s (Yzerman, Shanahan, Federov, Lindstrom...) and are helped by an emerging superstar (Datsyuk / Pastrnak) except Boston is obviously not that elite and went 1/3 in Finals whereas Detroit went 4/6 during their run

The Boston Bruins are insane Marchand and Bergeron are ageless wonders Pastrnak may be the most underrated superstar in the sport The org must have a genius old scout or something because their farm system never ranks well but they always seem to be able to develop or acquire just enough quality supporting guys year to year. Like Swayman, Zacha, DeBrusk, etc. I've never thought they were highly regarded on the analytics side but maybe that's not fair because their veteran acquisitions kind of seem to just work out more often than not. Lindholm, Krejci 2.0, Coyle, etc.

I think some people were overreacting a bit to this measurement Even if it's true that would probably be for the closest part of the bullpen bulge. That's a very specific location to maybe get a cheap homer. Sounds like the rest of the outfield will be about the same but with higher walls. -

Yeah it doesn't look great. And pretty fragile. Correa and Buxton are injury risks and then a lot of the other interesting guys are young and performance risks, or also injury risks. Polanco, Miranda, Kepler, Lewis are decent looking. Larnach and Kiriloff might yield an okay hitter between them.
