  1. Italy has a decent roster I guess. Pasquantino, Frelick, Nicky Lopez, David Fletcher, a few other AAAA quality bats, Matt Harvey, Pallante + Festa + Nitolli in relief. Not surprising that they could beat a team that was trotting the remains of Yoenis Cespedes out in LF and cleanup.
  2. Did the Eagles practice there? If not, then a Phillies player in one year would have been on the turf more than most Eagles players in their careers
  3. It's just MLB trying out a more detailed classification I guess
  4. Duran casually throwing 103 in spring
  5. You mean THE Barry Davis, of Bolton Honda fame?
  6. Iconic moments that belong on the immersive multimedia wall of Blue Jays history: - Bautista homer - John McDonald father's day homer - Brett Lawrie helmet slam - Brett Lawrie Yankee stadium railing injury and crying face
  7. I'm not sure. - Lukes has options. Lopez has an option. Horwitz has options. Barger has options. - Bernard is RHB so he might complement the OF better than Lukes or Horwitz, since there are two LHB starters - Bernard was primarily a CF in AAA recently, maybe he is okay defensively? - by projections, there is not an obvious offensive gap between any of Lopez, Lukes, or Bernard. - as a veteran NRI they might have a deal with Bernard that they will cut him loose if he does not make the team. I mean he probably never plays a game as a Blue Jay but I could see a path to him being the final bench player out of spring.
  8. Wynton Bernard is another candidate to get the final 40 man spot, maybe even an MLB roster spot...
  9. The depth pitchers who may need to be added if they want to keep them around are: Jackson, Bard, Junior Fernandez, Hutch, Lawrence
  10. Probably depends on the injury If they need a guy for a start or two they won't use Tiedemann or Zulueta But if it's to a replace a guy for a while, maybe they do just go straight to Teeds
  11. Oh he's definitely ready At worst he's some decent version of Robbie Ray
  12. Mr. Tiedemann had a tidy inning there, including a silly strikeout from Rodolfo Castro (who is a decent hitter).
  13. LOL I dunno, man Kikuchi had been given all the soft treatment to that point
  14. Tiedemann looked fine. The two singles were lucky. He was mostly 97. A bit wild.
  15. honestly, it seems like the ump is at fault here lots of weird stuff happening and it seems like it all stems from the ump not being ready
  16. the clock operators are having some issues this game
  17. old friend Carlos Santana
  18. in the article on Sportsnet today it mentions that Kikuchi wants to fall off the mound differently this year he might be trying something different from the traditional "straight line to home" thing
  19. Good job in the 3rd by Kikuchi quick out went 3-2 but didn't lose the guy, groundout made Bryan Reynolds look stupid on a high fastball for the K. Threw a slider for a strike, then got him out in front of a changeup for strike 2.
  20. that "lineout" by Bae was also not hard hit. More of a shallow fly.
  21. Baseball is 10000000x better with a pitch clock omfg
  22. Lukes did the same thing the pitch before and almost missed his mark
