  1. Do "average income" people really sit in the lower bowl right now though? For the most part I see middle class people do that only rarely. Like, birthday present tickets or something. Most of the time the middle class family tries to sit in field level outfield seats, or somewhere along the baselines in the 200 level. Or in the outfield. And the poor college aged people or working class boozers sit in the 500s.
  2. I agree. He looks shell-shocked.
  3. The 2023 As might be the worst MLB team I have ever seen.
  4. worst in K rate worst in BB rate worst in HR rate is f***ing hilarious
  5. I'm not even sure he has the stuff of a consistent #3 SP. His Stuff / Location numbers so far this year make him look more like.... Brad Keller or something.
  6. AL East with more over .500 teams than the rest of the AL Probably stays that way all year haha
  7. So... unlucky the meat of the order came up in the 8th? lol
  8. Those are called strikes against every other LHB in baseball.
  9. took every ounce of power in his body + helpful wind to clear the wall by one inch

  11. Not too early. The measurements that help in small sample sizes are very concerning for a couple guys. Stuff+ 2022 ; 2023 Manoah 99 ; 94 Bassitt 98 ; 87 So for Manoah and Bassitt they are getting bad results, they look bad, and the fancy stats say their stuff is down significantly. Disgusting. The other three: Gausman 109 ; 117 Berrios 100 ; 99 Kikuchi 107 ; 107 Kikuchi is of course encouraging so far but it's reasonable to expect him to explode at some point, just based on his track record. There is zero reason to worry about Guasman. Berrios... has a good K/BB and FIP so far, but a poor ERA. He simply remains an enigma. The pitching models don't see him as any different than last year, all things considered.
  12. 22 weeks pregnant is "barely showing" for some women, lol I've seen some chicks run 10ks at like 33 weeks
  13. Just flew with a toddler and 1 year old Couldn't imagine leaving that much food debris on an airplane floor A movie theater or ballgame is simply not the same context. Different environment, different burdens on the staff who need to clean up, etc.
  14. Quality outfielders available Can move two of: Verdugo, Renfroe, De La Cruz (CF), Blackmon, Profar, Anderson (also has 3B), Laureano (CF), Haniger.

  16. Another factor is that it's not an intense sport for most players. So they don't physically need a lot of days off. The only players who need rest days after playing are starting pitchers.
  17. Actually, in Varsho's case the negative value seems to be from like one or two baserunners advancing on balls hit to him. His UZR/150 is elite but he has a random negative figure hung on his arm so far
  18. Why even look at them so early though? A player could have a negative defensive value very easily by pure chance alone. It could be caused by them literally not getting a chance to make any difficult plays for example
  19. Hard disagreement from me Espinal sucks and the magic is gone. He's a bench player for me. But Merrifield is old with eroding skills. Unless he is locked in, he should be platooning.
  20. Yeah Maybe a confidence thing Or maybe the focus in the off-season was mostly on slider command or tiny little shape changes that make it easier to command
  21. His sinker does NOT have a great stuff number but the model isn't great for sinkers The biggest difference this year is he is just throwing his slider a lot more.
