    Gotta admit, Rainer Nunez looks "hitterish" Maybe the hit tool is good enough to carry him, despite being a RBH 1B without good K-BB numbers. His DOWL performance was no joke, given his age. At 21 he was the 7th youngest hitter down there and he outperformed tons of big league veterans. The only players down there under 24 years old with a better OPS were Oneil Cruz, Ronny Mauricio, and Elly De La Cruz and they are all top 100 prospects. But they also ALL K'd more often than Nunez in the DOWL. Rowdy Tellez in 2015 between A and A+ .289/.347/.454 103 games, 38 walks, 84 Ks Nunez 2022 in A and A+ .304/.340/.484 121 games, 24 walks, 109 Ks It's like if late career Salvador Perez was re-born as a 1B prospect. He was a year older than Rowdy. But, Nunez also lost a critical development year to the Covid season so that kind of cancels out?

    Catchers probably need to plan on being completely set around the 8 second mark. Looks like the catcher was only in position and calm with like 2 seconds left on the clock there. Possibly Max took a while to decide on the pitch

    Fastball looked great. You don't need great command when you throw 100. It was around the zone enough. Slider - hung a few of them when he first entered the game and walked in the run. But, executed better in his full inning and got a couple whiffs. Good showing.

    50 is possible for someone based on MiLB data people are expecting a 2012 SB environment in 2022 the league leader had 41 steals and only six guys had 30+ in 2012 the league leader had 49 steals and twenty one guys had 30+ Expect the bigger percentage bumps to come from guys with "okay" speed as their success rates go from borderline to green light ranges. The guys with top end speed might see a smaller increase in percentage terms... they could already make it almost every time if they don't stub a toe or fall down.

    has one pitcher, ever, in the history of any form of baseball, professional or amateur, or softball, mens or womens, or any form of ball throwing sport including cricket or rounders, in any year whatsoever, going back to the inception of sport and man himself, been injured because an official called time and they had to truncate a throwing motion? just seems like one of those old dude things "that's an injury waiting to happen" based on literally no precedent

    makes sense phillies and braves are not good toronto is clearly worse than baltimore, tampa bay, washington prooooobably worse than the yankees IMO but I dunno, maybe not. kind of just a middle tier that is five teams thick if you are only thinking of the 10 teams in the east divisions.

    Yeah it seems like they did him dirty but... he f***ing sucks. They are a significantly better team with Korpisalo and Copley dressing. Quick has actually been bad for like 5 years and LA has been very gracious to let him continue to try to play goalie in his mid/late 30s. It's too much to say that they need to let him be a mascot in uniform all the way through a playoff run this year...
