  4. Very similar players Witt is just the 50 hit tool version of Bo Bichette
  5. I think they plan on it. They've pushed him to 2 innings for half of his appearances in the last month. If they get some opportunities I think we might soon see them ask him for 3 innings here and there. Then maybe a 4 IP start. Sort of like what Boston did recently with Kutter Crawford. Then at the end of this year they can go either way with him. He could be a starter the close the season, or back to the pen if that makes sense for the team. But in 2024 they'd try him as a SP one last time. What the current state of SP depth in the organization they kind of have to do this. It might be a different story if there were multiple good SP prospects in AAA and AA.
  6. I'm ashamed of you. You've known me long enough to get it.
  7. It's insane
  8. Okay but if the team sucks and isn't good enough what will your excuse be THEN!? WILL YOU APOLOGIZE TO THE LEVEL HEADED POSTERS WHO PLAYED BOTH SIDES AND NEVER HAD A STRONG OPINION AND WERE UNFAIRLY CRITIQUED AND THEN UNJUSTLY BANNED FOR TWENTY FOUR HOURS WITH NO EXPLANATION!?!?!?
  9. Because... They play.... Worse teams... On average...

  12. Well there was every reason to believe Baltimore should have broke the bank this past offseason, and they did not. So we have early evidence that they are still going to pinch pennies.
  13. Chapman, sigh. Not hopeful here.
  14. don't care unless it's a homer
  15. the board has always been like this i think you are just getting old and more indignant
  16. his name is nathan pearson
  17. yeah they always want him to throw 1.1 innings. i don't really get it. he's not that type of guy...
  18. those gameday strikezones are designed to be nice to umps if it is within the main strikezone, it's basically in the heart of the plate
  19. on video it wasn't a good pitch way too much plate. jansen wanted it 12 inches higher.
  20. dude just needs to miss the zone more often, on purpose maybe
  21. Garcia has the best stuff of his career (I assume) and is giving up a lot of runs. It's a real test of mental fortitude and stat smarts. He should probably just change nothing, continue to throw it like this, and the results will likely be much better going forward. Right!?
  22. I'm just happy there was a big trade in the DDL. Woo.
  23. Wet Hot Danny Jansen Summer has begun
  24. Varsho has some real juice in the bat. Hopefully he goes on a HR streak at some point this summer.
  25. Yeah it would have been insane to cut Cimber. I guess it's just a minor roster mismanagement issue. Toronto had no choice but to cut Merryweather. It's just too bad they were in that situation where the bullpen was full of mostly dudes with mid-reliever upside.
