  1. This is the way. Also, at least one P will get hurt in spring anyway so it's not a projected crunch until it looks like there are maybe 3 too many P
  2. Sam Shaw... interesting 55 hit 50 run 50 fielding is certainly a good MLB player

LMAO the leaves might actually miss the playoffs amazing stuff
  4. He's a teenager. Bo Bichette looked like a Donkey Kong barrel when he was drafted and people were assuming he was a 3B/RF at best
  5. Well, yeah. Nimmala will be our Carlos Correa. Starting SS in 2026.
  6. It's just the Cleveland approach, haha. Kinda works for Cleveland but they are a small market shitdog team. Ideally Toronto exercises this "edge" or strategy in mid/late rounds or with small money signings but still acts like a big market team at the top of the draft and for top international signings. At least the Junior Arias kid sounds like a power prospect. I dunno why, but part of me thinks Manuel Beltre will really overperform expectations this year. Arjun Nimmala has 70 raw power per Fangraphs so at least Toronto didn't get cute with their last top draft pick. "Nimmala is a tooled-up teenage hitter with huge power projection and a risky hit tool caused by poor breaking ball recognition." ----> sounds like Orelvis haha
  7. Can a guy really ever be "back to full health", in the context of professional sports, when he was so hurt for two whole years? Like, some damage just cannot be 100% undone. Also, some of the statcast stuff from 2023 like EV data doesn't show a guy who is 100% back. More like, 90% back or so.
  8. Yeah you have to give him credit. Even the people who dislike Atkins for whatever reason, valid or not, cannot deny that he has gotten some big stuff done on a consistent basis.
  9. Pretty much. Or, like that guy in sales who won't take a hint and insists on scheduling a follow up call in one month to see if you have changed your mind
  10. Or Atkins is just a little pest who calls agents / other teams more often than most
  11. Can't imagine it's that bullish. The bat just won't project well at all
  12. Guaranteed Ross does not disagree with me They probably think IKF will give them 1.5 WAR in 450 PA, mostly at 3B. The stuff he says to the media is BS anyway. Lip service for incumbents, etc. We all say Biggio play a very mediocre defensive 3B for a year. I really don't think they want Cavan playing there much
  13. Guys, IKF is the presumptive 3B. The only argument for signing him is that his 3B defense is elite. They didn't pay 2/15 for a backup infielder or utility man. Not saying they can't sign Chapman and adjust IKF's role but barring that, nobody on the roster is jumping him on the depth chart without earning it in season
  14. Honestly dude you have to shut the f*** up Every post you make sucks All of your trade ideas suck It's spam
  15. Yoshida is kind of whatever Eloy might be a dump in a year or two. Dude is made of glass
  16. I don't mean he's not good But the strasburg comparisons are insane Skenes doesn't even have good fastball shape (apparently)
  17. Skenes is not that good
  18. I think I agree with this Horwitz and Kirk/Jansen is not a bad platoon DH solution
  19. So who would a bargain bin platoon RH DH be? A tiny bit of defensive utility would be nice
  20. No idea but I kind of do. He had the best 2023 and it wasn't really close. I think he gets $16M or more He has also been more consistently good than the rest
  21. Nah JDM, yes. Rest are debatable. Joc might be 1/12. Soler, it depends on term.
  22. Would prefer Joc for 1 year over Soler for 3 years But I'll take anybody. Hoskins, JDM, also good...
  23. Chapman's market appears to be exactly where most of us thought it should be. Somehow just under $100M. Not to exceed 100m. Wonder if Toronto jumps back in now
  24. I'm fine with a multi-year deal if the AAV isn't massive. He's got legit upside.
