  1. Not sure the basic limitation period would apply here It might be a labour grievance and subject to the CBA only Also, he can argue that his losses were only discoverable this off-season when no MLB team offered him a deal
  2. Is that limitation deadline from an article or something?
  3. The more I think about the IKF signing the more I love it. I wonder if he can hit leadoff?
  4. Well if he projected for 2 wins he wouldn't cost 2/$15. He'd be getting more than Candelario, not a third of what Candelario got. I'm not expecting 2 wins but it's within the realm of possibilities Expecting more like 1.2 wins in 2/3 of the 3B playing time.
  5. A plus 3B with decent BsR and an 85 wRC+ could literally be a 2 win player Nothing to sneeze at Go look at Maikel Garcia 2023. Or various Ryan McMahon seasons.
  6. They make these kinds of depth chart mistakes sometimes Really, the only person on the Jays roster who can play a good 3B is probably IKF. He is on top of that depth chart right now
  7. Okay bro Grrrrr arrrrr
  8. Copy image link from browser Then use this command link[ /img] If you have the image saved, upload to imgur to get a web link
  9. Interesting Looks like the Yankees got his maxEV up but not his launch angle 109.6 is still bad but not bottom of the league Better maxEV than Cody Bellinger, lmao He can hit a baseball harder than Danny Jansen. Harder than 2023 Kirk. Even with Biggio. Much better than KK, Espinal, or Whit There's 12+ homers in this useless bat!!!!!
  10. bWAR loved IKF. Some 3 WAR seasons on his BR resume... and a 5 win pace in 2020
  11. It could be... There is a cohort of mostly relief prospects in AA and up with modern pitch mixes and great numbers, they were probably influenced by the facilities and modern training environment Also, the crop of infield prospects that are MLB ready might be part of it. Schneider, Martinez, Barger, Leo Jimenez, Palmegiani...
  12. 7.5m AAV is.... almost nothing Jays are a big market team. That's reliever money. Who cares? They probably think he can be worth 1.5 wins in maybe 450 PA if used correctly.
  13. The Rangers were starting Robbie Grossman and won the world series The Dodgers traded for Kike Hernandez last year You're a homer and navel gazer if you think the Jays are "dumpster diving" Every good team in baseball signs guys like this The Braves have Forrest Wall and David Fletcher on their projected bench
  14. Isn't it already better than 2023? IKF much more versatile than Merrifield + Org depth near MLB is better
  15. Think we need someone who mashes RIGHTIES. But an 80 game 3B is all they need now. I think Turner is still a fit.
  16. He's literally just a Merrifield replacement About the same AAV Except younger. Slightly better. Better roster fit given 3B acumen. Hopefully other players keep him to 450 PA or less
  17. Feel like IKF might just be better than Espinal Espy may have been a bit exposed in 2023. Seems like he is actually not that comfortable or effective in a utility role. Defense was not reliable at all. Was replacement level and had a 80 wRC+ last year. Was useless Yeah 2023 IKF was similar but... longer track record of defensive performance
  18. I dunno. Great post.
  19. IKF won't be a starter or pure bench player. Somewhere in between probably. Same as KK.
  20. Exactly. Could see him as a throw in for Adames. He has a bit of value for small market teams in particular
  21. Not much but throw in value perhaps He might project for $3M or whatever in surplus value
  22. Rosario probably has enough leverage based on age and prior hype to get a guaranteed starting role
  23. You could just look up the defensive metrics yourself
  24. Yeah Whit was good when he was 31 and under Last three years, and his entire Blue Jays tenure, much more like IKF.
  25. He was probably stretched at SS Dude came up as a C, won a GG at third base, then the Yankees in all their wisdom decided he was a CF and SS
