  1. The entire 3B issue is essentially a player dev issue anyway They don't sign IKF if they have actual confidence in someone like Orelvis or Barger
  2. Plenty more examples of teams misplaying the market Basically every team other than the Cubs and the poor teams f***ed up at least once with an early signing. And the Cubs like to act poor anyway so they probably weren't even being smart
  3. I don't know everyone is obsessed with this. The market cratered. Most teams didn't play it well. The Jays overpaid for a couple players. Neither contract is a huge obstacle or problem. It is what it is Boo hoo, you bunch of f***ing babies Whine about the IKF contract for the next two years, see if it makes you feel better
  4. It's not that bad. There are much worse mistakes to make in baseball than spending $5M too much on KK or $10M too much on Falaffle. Whatever.
  5. Let's not forget that Erin Smudge has an oblique strain or whatever already
  6. The funny thing with Cole is the SPIN The Yankees are trying very hard to avoid the headline of "Gerrit Cole chooses to try rehab route on damaged UCL" I mean mlbtr literally had the headline as something like Gerrit Cole chooses to rehab.... then changed it to something like Cole not recommended for surgery. Ultimately it's the players choice. I bet the doctors saw a UCL stretched like a piece of spaghetti and recommended surgery. Cole probably wants to try rehab and thinks he's Tanaka, thinks he's special.
  7. The "good deal for both teams" platitude applies
  8. Nobody gives a f***, dude You were starting s*** AND cluttering the board AND bringing bad words into view Another comment on this or the mods or anything and you're cooked
  9. bro it's like the dumbest f***ing thing to complain about "can't catch popups behind home plate" it's just, probably not even true just some anecdote stuck in your head because you saw it happen a couple times it's a hard play by the way!!!!!!!!!!! the ball spins like crazy and spirals back towards the infield, catchers miss them frequently
  10. so is a hamate and it notoriously saps raw power for like 12 months
  11. WES PARSONS szzzzzzzzzznnnnnnnnnnnnnn babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Bowden can tag along
  12. Kirk looks locked in though Hopefully Janny Dancin' just misses like, one month and it doesn't even matter because Kirk hits .400 with 7 homers
  13. 18 PA If there is one Blue Jays spring training thing to just ignore, it's Brian Serven's stats
  14. Is that the hamate bone or the other side of the wrist? Probably will be a short absence but then nuke his power for 3 months
  15. Parsons definitely not making the squad
  16. No, you have to phone people and stuff. We would be hopeless
  17. Devin Williams To Miss Roughly Three Months With Back Fractures wtfffffff
  18. I guess. They're worse though, and burning good prospects to get cheaper and slightly worse. They could have gone about this differently.
  19. Out: Soto Grisham Zavala Iriarte Steven Wilson In: Cease King Randy Vasquez Jhony Brito Kyle Higashioka
  20. Thorpe, Iriarte, Savala, and Steven Wilson Seems like a good package
  21. long time ago I guess 2015? They had Dickey, Buehrle, Estrada, Stroman (RIP), Hutchison, traded for Price, tried Sanchez in the rotation (don't remember why he came out, injury?), and had Matt Boyd and Daniel Norris as good looking prospects to debut. In 2017 they really started dumpster diving for depth. I think Sam Gaviglio got 30 starts one year haha.
  22. I don't really care about his spring results. He was decent with LA. He was decent in Buffalo once demoted. His velo is way up this spring as it was in Buffalo. baseball is not rocket science. it's reasonable to think that he would be way better in MLB than we have seen so far in a Jays uniform.
  23. He's a horrible agent.
