  1. Nice Good test for Miles. Opening against Neto/Trout is not mop up duty
  2. Naylor isn't as good on D (not even close) and Hedges is somehow an even worse hitter than Bailey I don't think Fry is really a catcher, the fact that he has any games there this year probably shows how Cleveland saw the position as a bit of a black hole
  3. Bailey has an argument for the best defender in baseball The trade is terrible if you believe in WAR
  4. He looks like a classic STARTING catcher. Defense and power. .210 avg
  5. I'll allow Trey to be a five and dive pitcher if he just strikes out almost everybody
  6. Nolan Perry shoved in his first Vancouver game 5 IP 1 BB 8 K Nimmala is off to a good AA start!
  7. I don't think 91 mph in relief is going to stick He looks healthier though!
  8. Alek Thomas DFA Ryan Waldschmidt up Thomas got so much freaking run in Arizona. 5 seasons. 73 wRC+. Doesn't even have elite defensive numbers, just a reputation and some decent ones while younger.
  9. maybe doing that stupid thing where he is on the bench it is a lefty... Schneider in the lineup makes me think he is not active though. Unless they are cutting Sosa? Which I fully support.
  10. Exactly The reading comprehension skills of the general population are sad
  11. Make your way over to a Red Sox message board and ask them what they think about their "winning culture"
  12. You can put the goal posts wherever you want, even up your own butt, and the Red Sox and you will still forever and always be huge losers.
  13. Not winners The worst kind of losing is of course losing when you should have done better. Losing in the playoffs consistently. Having resources and not making the playoffs. Making asinine decisions. Basically, the current New York Mets vibes... that was the Red Sox for much of their existence.
  14. The Red Sox were also the BIGGEST LOSER IN SPORTS for freaking decades As has been demonstrated, it is hilarious to hold them up on a pedestal as having same kind of winning heritage. Yes, they were a great organization for 12 years or so. Nobody can take that away from them.
  15. I would suggest that you follow the thread here and see who was initially comparing them. "Since 2015, the club has been heading in the right direction, but still lacks that baseball heritage, that winning culture, that je ne sais quoi that clubs like the Yanks, Cards, Red Sox, and Dodgers all have. Last season was a massive step, and I believe that Ed Rogers is in it to win it, but we are still not quite there. " It seems like you have just proven the point that the modern Red Sox are AT BEST no better than Toronto when it comes to "winning culture" superlative ********
  16. Accolades from before the World Wars don't count or are irrelevant Boston flirted with a winning culture for 15 years or so but they lost the thread around the time they traded Mookie Betts
  17. The rough start combined with the Yankees looking very good means the division repeat hopes are nearly dead. But you only need to look at the current WC standings to understand that the season is a loooooooooooong way from lost. The nice thing for Toronto is that the American League as a whole is PATHETIC this year, so far. What is going on? The only good teams on paper are NYY and TBR and the latter is a fraud, and closer to a .500 team by true talent.
  18. Yup. Elbow inflammation, he threw at the start of the year then got hurt and threw a bit at the end of the year. Reading between all the lines, my guess is that there was no structural problem and they were just being very safe with him.
