    It makes sense. Very hard to be good at everything but much more feasible to be really good at a few things. Also, hard to outcompete a more generic niche like "elite 4 seam fastball traits" I mean most of the league probably chases that. It helps to have a niche that is NICHE. On the hitting side it seems like Toronto thinks they can add power. They target all these contact bats and undersized dudes and try to coach the pop up a bit. Very Cleveland.

At 20 years old, he could realistically continue to mash and debut in 2028 or 2029. He has a non-zero chance of having a better MLB career than his older brother, hilariously.

    The regular season is virtually meaningless and it is why we see so many bubble teams cheap out, and teams like the Dodgers barely use Glasnow and Snell in the regular season, etc. etc.

    EVERY "tough" game remaining for Toronto happens in the next 10 days. NYY x6 and TBR x3 If they can get through that within 3 games, the playoff will be easy to make. Every other series remaining is either easy or even money against a WC3 opponent that Toronto should be able to best. Three game sets against: KCR, SEA, CLE, KCR, ATH, BAL, DET, TEX, BAL, CIN

    Cease, Soriano, Yesavage, Ponce, Miles, Spaghetti (options), Berrios, Bloss (am told he will get a 4th option), Bowden (will he get an option?), King, Stanifer --> ROTATION IS MOSTLY FINE, JUST NEEDS DEPTH PIECES Varland, Rogers, Fluharty, Fisher --> BULLPEN NEEDS WORK IN OFFSEASON, TIME FOR RICKY T TO JUST RELIEVE I THINK. THIS SUCKS TO BE HONEST. Oka 3B, Gime SS, Clem 2B, Vlad 1B, Kirk C, Bateman CF, Lukes LF, Barger RF, Santa DH BN - Val, Smith, McAdoo, Keys THIS TEAM WILL SCORE NO RUNS. OFFENSE NEEDED - RHB PREFERABLE - OF THE OBVIOUS HOLE Maybe it does make sense to just spend on Randy or Suzuki...

    This free agent crop is setting up to be a disaster for whoever plays around, for bats The Jays would risk another Santander situation Jazz, Randy, B Lowe, Arraez, Happ, Grisham, Suzuki, Torres, Varsho, Ward, Springer... I don't want ANY PART of that list other than short term commitments. If someone like Taylor Ward signs a pillow contract I am all over it but otherwise it's Lane Thomas and trade explorations, for me. Rando Arozarena is obviously good and desirable but in this climate he is probably getting paid huge.
