    Which is exactly where the Blue Jays sre headed thanks to AA. I mean yeah, the playoffs were nice but I don't want to sit through another half decade of mediocrity. Hopefully Shapiro can right the ship.

    At the end of the day, the casual "fans" are the only ones mad about this. And those same people will abandon the team if they start off 10-20. Shapiro is going to get an unbelievable amount of flak when David Price signs elsewhere. Again, the fans will cry. In the end, as long as we have a WINNING TEAM the stadium will sell out.

    Pretty much the only people angry about this are "fans" that started watching baseball in August. Anyone who knows the payroll/farm/roster situation can see that Shapiro will be good for this team.

    Yeah that could also be it. Or it could be that AA was angry at how Rogers handled the Beeston firing.

    I'd say Edwin probably signs and Bautista walks. Shapiro won't sign Bautista without a gaurantee that he'll move to 1B, and Bautista is too proud/arrogant to make that move IMO.

    We can expect Price to be gone 100%. Also, we will definitely be losing one of Bautista/Edwin by the end of 2016. These are good things.

    It's gonna be funny to see the casuals cause a shitstorm on Twitter when we don't re-sign Price or Estrada. And when we get rid of Edwin/Bautista. Hopefully the team makes to playoffs next year, or Shapiro will unjustly be one of the most hated men in Toronto.

    Yikes this could be a PR nightmare for the team. If this is a necessary purge for the team to switch to the mindset of keeping young talent, i'm all for it.

    Lots of random speculation in this thread... People getting angry at Rogers/Shapiro when we have no idea of the details. For all we know, AA wants to work for another team/city and already has an offer in place. It will be interesting to see the reactions when Bautista walks next year. This is essentially the same situation and people are outraged haha

    Meh. We lost to a hot team. It happens in the playoffs every year. Look at the Red Sox in 2013. Everything went right for that team that year. Then they went back to being s***.

    I could see AA going very hard after Freddie Freeman. He's young, signed cheaply through his age 26-31 seasons, and a great LH bat for our lineup. He would replace the production lost when Bautista/Edwin walk. We probably don't have enough pieces to nab him though
