I figure the dropoff from Dee to DJLM isn't too much, and you get a temporary closer. Should help for a win-now team. -

Has Saunders looked like s***? No. Donaldson and JB are right where you expect them to be, EE is fine but a bit lower than normal in power (his power comes in streaks anyway), and Saunders is mashing. Tulo's BABIP is .200 but his power is fine and he's walking at 14%. The only guy who really looks lost that we could reasonably expect to be good is Martin.

The union would never agree to that. How tempting would it be to slip some PEDs into Pujols' metamucil to get out from under that contract? The union will never back down on guaranteed contracts. They already have them, and baseball is booming.

9. Once a prospect has crossed one of the thresholds in rule 8 above, he/she must be promoted to the MLB roster no later than the next February Prospect Cutdown or the next Annual MiLB Draft Prospect Cutdown, whichever comes first. If a player crosses the playing time threshold but is not actively cut or promoted at the relevant cutdown, then they are effectively a free agent and they can be selected in the annual waiver draft or added as a free agent in Yahoo (The Jake Lamb rule). --- I think we might need to clarify this rule a bit. For example, if Domingo Santana gets 501 PA before the prospect draft, at which exact moment does he become a FA? The moment the cutdown deadline arrives? It's a bit of a grey area.

Friendly reminder that free agent prospects may not be added to your MLB roster unless they have played in AA. I think NJH amended this rule, but I can't remember exactly.
